Still alive
Got an email reminder that TFP still exists.
I got fed up with facebook photo uploads failing all the time. And tired with Flickr's limits on free accounts, plus trying to pimp out your photos because their TOC basically says/said they have full access to use your photos however they please without your consent. So I finally gave in and made stupid blog. My current project is gardening. My neighbor is allowing me to use all of his property for a garden that when I remember to, I take pictures of the things I cook and grow put them up on the blog. Here's an example. I found a gigantic grub while transporting compost to an area I will be tilling soon. (The big one later ate the little one.) http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlinkhttp://lh3.ggpht.com/_gRYQKgFlITQ/S4...0/IMG_3131.JPG Anyways, the link is blog.diffidentia.net or message me if you want to add me on facebook. |
Blast from the past! :D Glad to hear you're doing well :)
That's an... interesting looking creature you've got there :p |
Wish I hadn't seen THAT!!!!
/But welcome back and stay away from those disgusting things! |
Welcome back! Great shot.
|
Nice shot. How do they taste?
|
It's a ground prawn.
What's the purpose of said gargantuan? |
I'm not sure what its purpose is. I'm not even sure what species the grub is. The smaller one, I think, is cutworm. It seems to be predatory because it ate 2 earthworms and 2 cutworms that it was sharing space with in the cup I collected them in. I haven't "fed" it since and I'm waiting to see what it turns into.
If I have time to garden tomorrow, I'm going to throw in some more earthworms and see if it eats them, too. |
Thanks for saying it's a grub, i was trying to figure out what it was... lol... put it on a hook and catch some real dinner... :)
|
I would, except that a) I refuse to support DFG by purchasing a fishing license b) I don't eat aquaria.

nice!!!! great to see you!

In looking at the leg segments, dlish, I would say it's not the same. It's also something I found in my compost in my garden, in California... very different flora & fauna compared to where you are.

hey welcome back. I was just thinking about you the other day wondering how you had been.
|
I was wondering on how you could call it huge - then I remembered: Inches, not cm :)
"Hiya Puddin'! Miss me?" Hell yeah! (Could some one pleaes revive Angela146, Averett and Nancy too? - then my list of TFP crushes would once again be complete) |
welcome back!
