I especially like the fourth photo. The old gates beckoning inward.
They draw me in with a desire to explore.

that's the facility. It is being renovated (quite nicely too), so I want more shots before it's gone.

They're renovating it to be hotels? I would never stay in a hotel that used to be an insane asylum. Too much bad karma!

not hotels. Commercial, retail, and residential suites. And they are amazing.

That last image was evocative, powerful, disconcerting . . . all in all a real treat :thumbsup:

Beautiful, in an eerie sort of way. That's a building that deserves a second chance...hope it's not destined for demolition.

rockland psychiatric center was one of the largest in new york state with 9000 patients at one point. underground tunnels, of course, between all buildings. also where they hide the ghosts ;-)
