Point & Shoot Treasures

Not all of us can be photographers. Not all of us can have the eye or the training to make it work. But most of us have a point-and-shoot camera with which we can take the photos that highlight our lives. This is a thread where we can share the photos we take with our crappy ho-hum 2.0 - 7.0 megapixel cameras.

The photos you share don't have to be good - they just have to capture a moment you wanted to remember.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday Tt didn't feel like brining his camera along for our hike, but I wanted pictures. So I brought along my 4.0 megapixel Cannon powershot. While we were out, we encountered a fawn munching leaves in the forest to the left of the trail. I took photo after photo in the hopes that one would work out. This is the best photo of the lot:

This was taken with my dinky Kodak on the night I took my baby to her first show to see the only band that understood her on her birthday almost two years ago. She's the one with the glasses in the foreground with the mesmerized joy on her face. Terrible shot but that look on her face makes it a keeper ...

Shots like this are the reason why I'll never sell short my 7 megapixel Sony camera. No manual settings but still a very capable camera. Post processed a bit.

My old Fuji Finepix 3800 3.2 megapixel happy-snap camera. Literally held together with electrical tape

One of the shots I really loved from this last week camping at Killbear Provincial Park (eastern Georgian Bay area).

I was at a wedding this weekend in Connecticut, and while shooting some pics with mrs. joe's compact Kodak, I looked down and realized how much I liked my dressy cons.......

I took this with a point and shoot...I think in 2005. Before I really started taking pictures as a hobby. It was a cheapo Olympus camera. I always liked this shot, though.

wow there are some really good shots here! I have been inspired to look through my point and shoot folder and see what I can find

Some of my favourite (sorry for the massive amount). None of these are edited in any way, just straight off the camera as they were taken. Camera was a 3.2 MP Canon. The odd one might have been my upgraded 5.0 MP Canon instead as well.
