Images of a Music Festival
Well the other weekend I went to a little local music festival with my parents, mostly with my dad for his Bday. These are some of the shots that I took.
They are all straight off my camera, no cropping or editing has been done to them. Most of these were taken fairly far from the stage, you can see the tops of peoples heads in some shots, or their instruments were cut out due to this. Using a Canon 40D, with the 70-200mm L IS lens, f4 version. Serena Ryder She was awesome, absolutely amazing voice, great stage presence as well. The band was mediocre, she was definitely the star. Luke Doucet and the White Falcons Hands down one of the best live guitarists I have ever seen, absolutely amazing. His guitar playing sounded a little like Brad Paisleys at times, like BP's solo's and such. Great singing, great music. Everyone in the band was a phenomenal musician. Mocking Shadows Great ska/big band. 4 brass, 3 female singers, keyboardist/vocals, guitar/vocals, bassist/vocals and drummer. Everyone was an excellent singer and were all great at their respective instruments. I absolutely loved this bands style, the bass player especially (loved his hat!). Very high energy band that was constantly moving around and having fun up on stage. I would jump at the chance to see them again. Last edited by blahblah454; 07-09-2009 at 09:49 PM.. |

wow, these are awesome! Will try to find their stuff to listen to, I'm so curious from the pics. You have a great camera by the way, these night shots are so clear! What are you using? You have great timing too. Overall, a very good set.

I adore this photo. You caught the perfect moment of her dance routine. Thanks alot for sharing; I, too, am now more intrigued, curious even, to listen to the artists you have featured here. One thing's for sure, they sure know how to put on a good show.
