These are lovely. I want your camera! And those beautiful old brushes ( or whatever they are). You also have a great photographic eye. I love the cherub photo. The gravestones are interesting too...cemeteries are fascinating.

excellent.
i really like the interior series (interior to the larger series) from the door (which is great) to the black-and-white brick building... and the black and white cemetery photos are way way southern gothic. very nice. i'll maybe say more when i've a bit of time. nice to see new stuff.

My favourite is the kitchen antiques display. Wonderful colours and I can just about feel the enamel and glass by looking at it. The contrast in lighting tones and colours is also very evocative.
Great to see your stuff again!

It's always interesting to me to see the shots you choose, mixedmedia, to see how you frame the subject matter, or for that matter, what you choose as the subject matter of the shot. I like your eye. The photograph of the dolls in color is intriguing; it makes me think of my mother, and other mothers, who must have owned dolls like that when they were young, yet now their dolls are in antique shops. I also (as a lover of cemeteries, is that strange?) really enjoyed the gravestones.
And like other folks here, I'm happy to see some new stuff from you.

So glad to see your excellent photography eye hasn't diminished with your absence from these hallowed halls. Beautiful photos, I'm so envious of the cemetery shots!

Unfortunately many of my favorite shots from there have my daughter in them so I can't post them here. But I am very happy to have pictures of her in a graveyard. Even though this is not a great shot, you can get a good idea of how it felt to be there. It was getting near dusk and the overhanging live oak trees and their moss were quite evocative. It was very peaceful. Very nice place to be. -----Added 17/12/2008 at 03 : 41 : 10----- I'm so glad you liked them. Thank you.

Agreed about the composition. There's something about that security camera though. It's completely out of place and I wonder how it could be included to highlight this.

I know, but I didn't even notice the camera until I got home and looked at the photographs. The glass and china were a little distracting, lol.
I can understand the need for it, I suppose, considering the amount of inventory she had. Just an aside, she wasn't nearly as friendly as the other shop owners in the town. Could account for something.

thank you, skafe. Those eyes are in there somewhere, lol.
The walls were my favorite photos and, in fact, I was quite convinced that they were the only good ones out of the whole batch. Glad folks liked the other ones, too.

Lovely stuff Mixed Media. That door is very nice. The sense of the car - the texture - I can almost feel it on my hand or smell it. The HIS wall is very cool too. I really like your eye and your ability to make your camera follow your eye.
