I really like the third picture. There's a tension between the blackness and the almost washed-out road, and between the elements of civilization and nature. Plus I'm a sucker for roads disappearing into the distance.

I actually freaked out right after I took that picture. It was 5 in the morning, pitch black, we could only see ahead of us because of the lights - not behind or beside. And it was really really quiet. So I take the picture, and I'm waiting a second, thinking about getting a better one, when I heard something rustling about 15 feet to my right. I jumped back into the truck and rolled up my window. My friend laughed and said it was probably a deer, but we also have linx and coyotes out here. I'd rather be safe. =P
