random shots
These are a few random shots I've taken in the past year.
I make no claim to be a photographer. I take pics of what catches my eye. Any suggestions, comments or critiques are welcome. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2054/...fef8e5cc_b.jpg Cape Cod canal bike path http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2067/...9c466e91_o.jpg The view from my sunroom after a storm last year. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2014/...ef9f6ae8_o.jpg The little pond in my backyard that I share with a neighbor http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2070/...4c9360f1_b.jpg Mystic Seaport Mystic, CT |
15 views and nobody has anything to say?
are they good? bad? meh? |
I like the first two locations... and I like the composition... but... I'd go back to these same spots and shoot around sunset/sunrise. Better light. :)
|
more shadows can make a better picture.
thanks |
I like the second and third shots the best but I'd have sharpened them a bit.
And I agree with fnaqzna about the light - awesome composition in the first shot and it'd only be better if the color in the sky popped. |
how would you have sharpened them? (not certain what you mean)
|
I meant just to bring out the fine details a bit more in post processing.
It's just my personal preference to sharpen every picture I take - it removes a layer of haze and brings out the colors a bit more. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v8...9c466e91_o.jpg |
ahhh...gotcha.
i currently don't have any photo editing software so everything goes from camera to HD. hmmm...an excuse to go buy more software..... |
I am more jealous of the amount of space you have - I guess living in a New York City apartment for a few years will do that to you!
|
I like them all. Very nice. Brought back northern memories and I just knew when I saw those masts that they were in Mystic Seaport. I was there when I was around 10 and still remember.

troit - I don't think I could live in the city. That house in the back bothered me for awhile when we first moved in. Too close. lol
jewels - thank you |
