You are crazy talented at photography. It's stuff like this that makes me want to get into photography.
Seriously, those are amazing. |
Thanks very much Willravel... I sincerely appreciate the kind words.
|
I agree, these photographs are... amazing. You definately have an eye for great images.
What kind of camera do you use? Its truly inspiring photography. Just as inspirational in compelling me to visit those places. |
Those are some great photographs - 3, 5, 11 and 12 being my favourites. You've got a really keen eye. Thanks for sharing these wonderful images with us.

Some great photographs, very good eye for composition! My favourite is the Santorini one with the dog...unusual and a fresh take on the classic sunset. Also the black and white one of a carved stone head is interesting...what was that?
Looks like a great vacation was had too...a little piece of paradise there. |

Those are outstanding! Greece looks like a great place to visit.

My favourite is the close up of the Statue head. It's so vivid.

great shots billy.........thanks for the tour.
i'm just waiting to see a hand come into the pic and squeeze a lime into your lady friends ear for some reason. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...e/IMG_6818.jpg |
Really fine pics. The landscapes photos are great.

my favorite: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...e/IMG_6441.jpg
and the shot with the Coronas would make a perfect ad. heh |
Oh man, that brings back memories. I was just in Greece last summer. Did you hike up the fortress there? Lovely pictures by the way but you're missing the most important element in many of them. Where are the people?
|
Photo 6 - olive trees ?
|
Yes those are olive trees.
Thanks for taking an interest in my photos guys/girls. |
These are absolutely stunning... I'm sure in part because of the beautiful landscapes. But I know that if I had been there, the pictures would not have come back looking quite the same. :)
|
Wow. Amazing pictures... Thanks for sharing! :)
|
these are very cool pictures!! I love the pure white buildings in Santorini.
Can I ask about the trip or what? how long were you there, is it worth it, anything that wasn't worth seeing, what was the best thing you did/saw, how's the food, and was it expensive? |
I had a great time... the only complaint is that I'm a people person and I didn't have much interaction with the locals. I wouldn't say they were snobs, just different then the type I usually deal with traveling in more western Europe, Canada, and the US. I usually like to go to the local pub and talk to people... that wasn't really happening in Greece. I thought it might have been because I was an obvious tourist (blond and blue) but I observed the same quiet attitude toward fellow Greeks so I assume it's cultural difference.
I was there for two weeks, went to Rhodes, Santorini, Athens, Napflio. My favorite was Santorini. It was really cheap because I had time share and used my miles for my flight... I think the total trip cost $1500 USD all included. If I had to do it again I can't say I would have changed it much, so yes it was worth it. The food and wine were wonderful, the music didn't do much for me... my favorite moment was meet Olympiakos (the soccer team) after their game in my hotel and having a few beers with some of the players. They wanted to know about BASEBALL!!! LOL! Thanks 2 everybody who posted in this thread. |
