Animals! These are mine:
The cat who lives with me in Columbus, Chrissy: The two cats at home, Bailey and Sooty (the darker one): (she's not a kitten anymore!) My Jack Assell Terror, Dexter: My older TB gelding, Paris: My young TB mare, Minnie: I've had many others over the years, and I miss them.

PJ, there must be some mistake. Your "Larry" doesn't look anything like my sister's cat "Larry", or my stepdaughter's car named "Larry". Aren't there naming rules or something about the use of Prophet Larry's name?
Better come up with a good one, Bud, 'cuz I think something blasphemous is happening here.

Adding a couple more horse pictures for Fly:
My riding instructor's warmblood, Livingston, and me at a show: My older gelding and me at Fair (last year!).. he was injured so we had to do just showmanship. The horse I most recently sold, Neil A pony I gave away, Jojo, and his visiting buddy, Rocky My little old man (Mr. Misty) I had to put down in December 2006. I miss him terribly, he was my best friend since I was 9 years old. There are a few more, but I'm limiting myself.

No, that little guy is not an Arabian. He was a Pony of the Americas.. leapord appaloosa pattern on his bum during the summer. He was a stubborn little man.. but definitely the best pony a little girl could ask for. He would do anything for me, including crossing scary rivers and into creepy barns.

Ranger Joe, what is it with your family and amazing blue eyes? Now that's the first blue-eyed cat I have ever seen.
Incredibly cute!

lotsofmagnets, those look like a handful, and a lot of fun. Dogs are great.
Quite the devil, PaddyJoe. I like how red light looks against a blackish cat.

they are an absolute handful. add to that one cat, about 6 chickens, one duck and between 4 & 8 magpies and my parents´ household is pretty busy. we also have geese occasionally driop by and there are a couple of koalas that hang around as well. no kangaroos but we´ve seen a few wallabies. i want to bring my paretns o/s in the coming year but who´s going to maintain the hoard?

it´s something that happened over time. it all seemed like a good idea at the time then suddenly we have more animals than yard space. i forgot about the pond so add a few goldfish and various frogs as well :s i´m starting to think about mebe getting me either a pet rat or bird here in iceland but i would only get either animal if i didn´t need to cage it. my mum has instilled in me a strong opinion of containing animals (the chickens and duck are the only animals with a fence around them for their own safety and everyday, under supervision they are allowed into the yard for a few hours even though the coop is very large.)

This is Dylan (not a female as we had originally thought)
and this is Luna. We figure they're either 5 or 6 weeks old this week. Adorable as can be, spoiled horribly already by my two teen daughters.

Today I found our dog. His name is Simba and he is awesome. I feel like I found a lost prince. He's so well behaved (he even knows 'sit,' 'shake' and 'lay down,' lol) and he's a fluffy hugabee, too. He luxuriates in affection.
Pictures aren't that great - I haven't wanted to harass him too much with the camera. I suspect he will be a great model for me, though. But here is Simba, the little bear that now lives in our house.

I am so in love with our new dog...took him to the dog park on Friday which is quickly becoming one of my favorite places. Didn't get many interesting photographs, but we are going back to today and I'm going to try some different things. But I got a few pictures of Simba. Our manbear.
he'll never admit it, but he liked this... ...and my daughter will probably kill me for posting this picture of her Simba says whee. Thank you for your patience while I wax ecstatic about my dog.

That last picture of Simba is fantastic, mixedmedia.
Simba appears to be an exceptionally wonderful dog. My Prince boy always is deep in thought, he is thinking thinking thinking all the time. You should see the games he makes up, he will arrange his bones and toys and then talk to them, and he makes his toys interact with each other. I have some video of his playtime with his friends...it's charming. |
