[snapshot]Wild Flowers
or are they? I found them growing in my backyard last year. This year, they came back with a vengence. I think they are beautiful. Does anyone know what they are?

I'm not sure what they're called, so I'll have to acquiesce to paddyjoe's expertise on this one. I see them around here a lot. The difference with the ones I see is that the buds are not nearly as large or colorful.

SportsW, you might want to contain them a bit. They have popped up all over my property just from some wild ones from about a mile away. Cut the flowers before they go to seed and you will keep them from taking over.
They are very pretty though. |

and thanks for the tip Elphaba. Right now they are on the hill in my yard, they are free to be there. If the start coming into my grass, then I will have to do something. I will definitely keep what you said in mind.
