I have to agree though, I don't think that there is any set date for our death. I will just happen to be in the wrong place some time and that will be it for me. finis. No place in the grand scheme of things, just another random death

Tragic and sudden death I believe is random. Slowly killing yourself with vice is predestined. So I guess, I believe a little of both. Analog, your comments have caused me to think a lot about how precious and short life is. Thanks for sharing.
Here's a twist on this topic. Have any of you saved someone's life? Once while standing at a crosswalk waiting to cross at an extremely busy intersection, a woman in front of me just started walking directly into traffic. I reached out and grabbed her shirt, pulling her out of the way of a large truck. She never even looked at me. To this day, I don't know if she was trying to kill herself or what. I still think about it once in a while.
