Journey or destination? Which is more important?

The Jouney. If it were the destination, we wouldn't be unique. Everyone can get to the same spot.. but the stories that we have on how we get there is what makes it interesting.

Yes from a religious view, one could say Destination, as it would be Heaven, thats the more important one. But then again.. supposedly everyone gets to the gates of heaven, then you are judged right? So wouldn't the journey be more important? As the Journey would help to show where you go from there.

Its not where you end up in life that makes it interesting, it everything you did to get there.

Surely every destination is just part of a longer journey and every step of a journey is its own destination.

I said Destination. It's my outlook on life, I guess. Probably not the best outlook, to be honest though.

I'd say destination as well, I'm a firm believer in "the end justifies the means."

journey. i don't know where God is leading me. i have a better idea of how. maybe i'll figure out some of the why.

It's got to be the journey. Don't be so caught up in your goals that you cannot appreciate what is going on around you. As John Lennon said, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."

Destination is the most important. Parts of the journey suck, but keeping the destination in mind helps me through the worst. Life is a series of journies and destinations though, and each destination is the beginning of another journey or a milestone in a longer journey. But having a destination in mind helps me to make it through the rough parts of the journey. And I suppose that a journey without a destination is pointless, regardless of whether the destination is planned or revealed at the end.

It is how you learn what is important and what needs to be left behind. Most of the time, once you reach the destination you realize it was not what you wanted to begin with.

Without a destination, a journey will still take you somewhere. With the right mindset, it doesn't matter where that is.

Without a journey, a destination is unreachable. And if you were to end up somewhere other than your destination, which is likely, you would probably be disappointed.

imho a person spends alot more time journeying that at his destination.

What I mean is most people I know are always planning for things, are waiting for something, or making something else happen.

So if most of your time is spent like this, and less of your time "at your destination", then I would say it's pretty obvious what is more definining and thus more important
