Non-theological, non-semantic challenge.

If anyone has any good ideas for non-theological, non-semantic, interesting philosophy thread-titles, please post them here.

The winners will be plagiarised.

I'm off to try and figure some out myself

"Can you really KNOW anything for sure?"

[edit] Well since you used that one right away, here is another one

"Would you be the 'same person' if something in your past had been different?"

What will happen when we find life on another planet/moon?

Is the United States becoming a dictatorship?

How often do you lie to yourself?

Negative. At best, theres only a 99.999999...% certainity about everything.

Depends on whats different. If my chest was a little more hairy, then yes, I'd most likely be the same person. If I spent most of my adolescent years locked in a closet, cut off from all outside contact asides from the 30 butt-ugly fur covered men that constantly beat and gang sodomized me, then no, I would probably have been different.

What, if anything, can you do in life that ultimately makes a difference (and define "difference")?

If you believe that there is no life after death, how does that affect your attitude toward life?

Journey? Or Destination?

I freely contribute these, because I don't get over to philsophy much.

Here is one:

"Out tendency to fight symptom instead of cause."

It would be better if you defined difference. If I comb my hair, I can make a difference in the form of now having neat-looking hair.(but the impact on the world would be small) Alternatively, I could engineer a disease that could wipe out all of humanity which would make a big difference in the world(but the impact on the universe would be small).

1. Death = peaceful oblivion. I don't really worry about death accordingly(I object to bodily injury quite a bit though)
2. Life is easier for everyone if everyone trys to create 'heaven on earth'.
3. Enjoy life while you can.

Journey? Or Destination?
Destination.

I am new here and these have probably already been done but...

Can anybody learn anything, given enough time?

How do you determine what is moral in your life?

How often do you judge others based on superficial reasons? And what are the reasons?
