ANUS
ANUS.COM: American Nihilist Underground Society (A.N.U.S.) at www.anus.com
Granted, I do believe that they are using the words to actually spell the acronym (American Nihilist Underground Society) to get a bit of exposure, perhaps bad press is the best press or for a Nihilist society that claims to be underground... While reading through the philosophy of Nihilism, it does indeed strike a cord to me that some of the other more mainstream philosophies do not. It shares a lot of beliefs with Objectivism, and a few with flat out anarchy. Which, granted is a form of government, and not a true philosophy. I have read a lot of information on Objectivism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Objectivism_(Ayn_Rand) ), and the belief structure there, which I was turned on to after reading the Sword or Truth series of books by Terry Goodkind. Has anyone ever actually looked into Nihilism as a foundation for a belief structure? to quote a wiki: Quote:
At the end of the day, what is all this crap? Nothing, just fun shit to think about.

I took a look at the site a few years ago. As appealing to me as nihilism is, the site owner's writing was completely devoid of a sense of humor (like the article claiming that no true metalhead would find Metalocalypse funny and that it diluted the meaning of nihilism and the message of metal) and a bunch of thinly-veiled racism.

made me ponder what life is. How is it defined? the leading question being, " is God alive?" And so, if God is alive, then under Nihilism, doe god belong to the same set of rules as humans? And therefore is without purpose and can make no real change in the totality of existence.
