Hasn't Paul become widely recognized as a "pervert"?
![]() There's a marvelous cathedral in St. Paul, MN. I've taken the kids there many times to look at the statues. What would the muslims think? ![]() Please let there be no bombs!

Is this an appropriate thread to examine if Jesus even existed?
I ask that because I dont want to offend anyone, but I would be interested to hear from someone that can point to sources other than the Bible to gain some knowledge about Jesus.

Thanks for the clarifications, asaris. I'll just agree to share your definitions or inerrancy and infallability, which I personally am fine with, and let my brother and others take the "typical" view. As for giving the authors of scripture the benefit of the doubt, I do that also, but consider it an act of faith. The analogy of Foucault, a much published and respected philosopher and social critic, but only one man whose works span approximately 30 years, doesn't seem to apply in the case of the books of the Bible, which were written by many persons under varied circumstances, over a span of many hundreds of years. |

Inerrancy and infallibility are pompous and boring. I'd go so far as to assert that they don't exist, or if they do they don't for long. Culture is fluid and whatever is static fades.
