I was searching ghost stories last night and came across a story about the “barton mansion haunting”, and let me tell you, I’ve seen a lot of ghost videos, and none of them were scary at all, but the video I’ve posted above is very creepy. You can pose the argument that it is a fake, but the reaction of the individuals involved were believable and will acted if it is indeed a fake. The link I posted above is directly the video, but the site also has images and the whole legend and story. Cool stuff, if you guys have any ghost footage, please do post.

LOl i couldnt really make it out from the video, even pausing and shifting around, then i look at the stills and its even less believeable. Looks like a troll from a video game or something. *shrugs* how come the lantern and "shreaded fabric" look solid yet the rest doesnt?

really? i thought the "entity" was very clear, which is why the skeptics say it's just some guy covered in a sheet, but if you go frame by frame, you notice the "lantern" actually floating before it is in the "entities" hand. i found the acting well done though if it's really a fake. I would personally love to go on a ghost hunting mission, but there probably isn't anything even remotely haunted where i live.

I thought the figure filling the whole doorway was interesting... very tall. It could have been someone else they weren't expecting.. but the size of it is interesting.

I would have had the same reaction, no matter what though :p

Yea fake ghost, real ghost, or giant hobo.. i probably would have ran like a pussy too.

the person taking the video stated that he is 6'5 and he said that the figure was at least a foot larger then him...now that is creepy.

/me shudders...

You know, in a situation like that I would like to think that I could have the balls to poke at it with a large stick, just to see what would happen...

I couldn't see that happening however, I may not like the outcome, either if it were real or not... :|

I just got shivers.. that is freaking scary..

I've always wondered why its dark in every ghost movie, but now I'm afraid to sleep!!! :p

The clothes that "thing" are wearing are what scare me..

But the sucker just doesn't look believable to me. My first thought (Granted, I had already read Obiex's response) was, "That thing looks like a mocked up troll."

And the reaction doesn't really impress me that much either. The sounds and running seem real enough, but I wouldn't believe they were really scared unless I could see their faces. And even then, I know some really good actors.

reminded me of the old swampthing movies... or "the creature from the black lagoon".

although it is creepy, i think its fake. If you read the story on the site and compare it to the video, it doesnt really match. He says that he stood staring at the "entity" for a while, but on the video he just takes off running instantly. and also

Yeah, those two images are definitely photoshopped, but they were supposedly sent in by visitors of the site.

Scared to poop out of me (!) and I thought it was a hoot to view!

I've seen several ghosts in my life and this one looks fairly real.
If not, it was fun anyhow! Whomever the photoshopper is, he's awesome...

Looks like a guy in a hallowe'en mask to me. The lantern is visible first because the camera's in night vision and it's a source of light. Night vision is very sensitive to light sources... notice how everything around the lantern appears to be pitch black? My guess is it's in the guy's hand the whole time but the hand is washed out due to the light.

Also, while tall, he definitely doesn't look like he's over seven feet. That's not LeBron James coming out of the closet there, nor is it some otherworldly demon I reckon.

Colour me skeptic. The video's too grainy to really say anything conclusive and the story just doesn't seem to add up to me. Not convinced here.

Holy crap that vid is creepy. As far as realism goes, you don't see the thing in the video long enough for to make a real judgement. As far as him standing there, I think that it is probably a case of time slowing down when one is super scared or in a negative situation. If one is in pain or some other negative state, time can seem to slow down or even temporarily stop.
