Body Heat & Ghosts

About three years ago I was driving down a dark road (is that cliche or what?) but I saw a womanly figure in the middle of the road. The woman was carrying an umbrella and was dressed in a white wedding gown. Remind you - this is after midnight and no I was not drunk at the time or high. As I approached her I felt a tingly sensation in my spine and a coldness swept my body. Any truth to the fact that spirits take away your body heat or not? Either way I was shaken for the rest of the drive home.

Wow I am sorry for leaving the story as I did now that I review my original post. Anyway - I am unsure if this is true or not but I honestly believe I went through her with my car. I did not see her enter through my car, as you would imagine a ghost would, but as soon as I passed *through* her I looked in my rear view mirror. What I saw - you ask? The same lady with only a white blur for a face - no distinct detail in her face. She continued to walk as if my car did nothing to her. I was scared. Please - save yourself asking why I did not stop and approach her as my close friends say they would have. I say this because you wouldn't have stopped your car to approach this spirit, being, or thing. You would have continued driving asking what the hell just happened while losing all pigment in your facial skin.

I feel that very often- even when I am warm/comfortable. It comes out of nowhere, so I then pause and try to sense who it may be. I know of a few spirits that visit me.

If she had indeed passed through your car, wouldn't you have had to DRIVE THROUGH HER in the first place for that to happen? What if it were a real lady, man??

That was my first thought... If you run someone down, and your only defense is "I thought she was a ghost", I'm thinking you're going down for manslaughter.

you just drove? man i would have pushed the gas peddle though the floor like it was the flintstones..

hey here is a thought.. grab some friends and go back there .. see if she still haunts that place..

honestly maybe all she needs is someone to offer her a ride so she can well pass on.. note i dont believe its a lady that is lingering just a suggestion.

ok i gotta quit reading this stuff late at night

Whether they're sucking away heat or they're just scaring you and making you feel that way (this is up for debate,) the cold wave is a typical sign of contact with a spirit.

Sadly, it's not up to you. On the other hand, I would rather have that other driver that's heading my way experience a sudden cold shudder instead of a mind blowing loss of consciousness.

I just remember laying there late at night in my bed at home, resting and all warm... then your body would suddenly get nervous/tense. You have the feeling that someone is watching you but you open your eyes and nothing is there.

I don't know how relevant that is but I'm sure almost all of us have felt something like that before.

That was great! The whole time I'm reading your story I'm like "holy shit it's on his head!!!!!!!!!!!! It's trying to smother and kill him!" and by the end of the story I'm just laughing so hard because it's your damn cat and you were all cuddled up in your covers against the wall! LOL

Another one, its not a ghost story but if u think about it, it could be. My friend told me this so its not a relieable sorce. He says...
I am in my room watching tv durring a huge thrunder storm. I look outside after hearing a strange noise, like an old car. This very old car light brown colored all busted up pull off on to my very non-public street. The car stoped infront of my house and a scarry old lady ran out and ran up to my door and started banging on it, then rapidly ringing the doorbell. None of his family woke up? wierd but he swears that he wasnt dreaming because he stayed up watching tv after. Freaky? to me, yes.

Palamidian - I had the same thing happen with my cat once. I was just about to fal asleep when I heard my door open. I assumed it was my parents or something so I opened my eyes but no one was there. Just when I was really freaked out, she jumped onto the bed and my heart skipped a few beats. Needless to say she's not allowed in my room at night anymore.
