PA ghost

My parents live in the heart of Amish country in Pennsylvania, so there's quite a few old buildings with some unique history. One of these places happens to have been a tavern/restaurant in varying forms for about 200+ years. It seems that at one point they had used the upstairs as a type of boarding house/hotel back in the 1700's. The story goes that there was a woman named Melinda that had two stillborn children there, and died there shortly after the second stillborn child. She is said to haunt the place ot this day.

Well, my parents went there recently for dinner with some friends. They had heard about the story and my father, thinking it was all a bunch of hoo-ha, said, "Hey Melinda, come have dinner with us." Not a second later, the group of four of them became aware of the radical temperature change. So cold that they were shivering and putting on jackets. They were all visibly shaken when the waitress came by and she asked if everything was okay. They explained what happened and the waitress' reply was, "We don't recommend talking with Melinda unless you're prepared for the unexpected." No sooner had she said that, when the intense cold came upon all of them. Needless to say they ate quickly and left. They intend to go back, but they'll be more prepared this time.

Hahaha. Melinda has no problem letting herself be known-apparently. Wrkime, you have tons of these stories, dont you? :)

heh, when you said PA ghost i thought u ment like a PA system, so I have this funny "PA ghost" story, every once and a while i get a crazy ass helicopter noise coming through my PA, initially i thought it was the reverb, but it only happens at totally odd times of the night, and sometimes when i'm not even using it... ne idea's people?

At the very moment that I was reading this thread, the whole room suddenly got cold.

I swear, this is true. My friends were in the room with me and noticed it too, although they were across the room and didn't have any idea what I was reading.

One of my friends even put on her sweater. When my wife, who was also in the room saw her put her sweater on, she asked her, "are you cold?"

Everyone agreed that they were.

My wife then got up and adjusted the thermostat and the air conditioner cut back off.

Some will try to say that this was just a coincidence, but we know better, don't we.

Thank God for the thermostat, I'm not sure what you would have done without it, perhaps the ghost went away when you adjusted the thermostat... how odd...

Freaky story man. Please, do update if/when your parents go back. Perhaps you could go with them to give us a first hand account?

I've already told them that I wanted to go. They told me about this the last night we were at there place, so it was too late. I'll find out if they've gone back.
