Everything revealed.

If all of lifes mysteries were offer to be reveal to you would you do it? Ghost, UFO, whatever, you would know it all.

Evil Milkman 03-03-2004 11:47 AM

Would I choose to want to know that information? Yes, some of it would be really interesting. But then again, if most or all of it turned out to be simply rumors or lies, it would take all the fun out of it. Good topic, though.

Redlemon 03-03-2004 11:59 AM

Sure, I'd take it. I'm not into philosophy, I'd far prefer to have answers. Some results may shake my worldview, but I could handle it.

sipsake 03-03-2004 12:09 PM

Good lord, yes!

To think that I might finally, FINALLY understand my wife...

SaltPork 03-03-2004 12:11 PM

Abso-freakin'-lutely. It would be totally cool to know that stuff.

bparker805 03-03-2004 12:34 PM

Hell yeah! I would have difinitive answers regarding Area 51, Roswell, Kennedy's assasination, the Bilderberger group, the Majestic 12, if there really is a base on the moon, was the moon landing a hoax, the Illuminati, the masons, skull & bones, are we in contact with estraterestrial life, and everything about politics and what really goes on behind close doors ( and no, thats not a reference to Clinton).

Knowledge is power. That being said, anyone who claims to know any sort of truth about the "strange and unusual" is usually written off as a wacko. I'd sure want to know, but I wouldn't do anything publicly with the information unless it involved something on the order of survival of the entire species.

neddy65 03-03-2004 01:44 PM

No frikken way!!!!
I want to discover things and hold dogmatically to my world views thank you very much.
Are there really ghosts? Maybe. Isn't that better than an absolute yes or no?

Church 03-03-2004 10:41 PM

Yes, I would take the knowledge. Although I like to be scared, I think it would be really informative to know about all those topics. I have always wondered about it, and I really would do anything to know if there is life out there beyond our atmosphere.

Tholo 03-03-2004 11:04 PM

I would love to know it, the true pain would be in knowing that no one else would believe you.

Nefir 03-04-2004 12:45 PM

All of life's mysteries? Yes, I would definitely accept. By knowing the answers to questions I did not know existed in the first place, I would be able to take paths through life that I was not aware of either.

In answer to the quetion at hand...I dunno. I mean, yeah, It'd be cooler'n hell to know the answers to all of lifes mysteries. But, isn't that what makes life worth living? Seeking the answers to the questions that life presents us. Yes/no/yes/no/yes/no...my head could explode, just thinking about it.

thespian86 03-15-2004 03:41 PM

I really do think that this question should be sent to Philosophy but i'll take a whack at it anyways. No i wouldn't. Whats the fun in knowing everything, life is about learning and even if there could be ghosts or UFO's or anything.

CinnamonGirl 03-15-2004 04:55 PM

If they were all purely scientific and logical answers, then no...I wouldn't want to know.

If the answers were more mystical or what have you, then yep.

Thagrastay 03-16-2004 07:26 AM

Yes. And then I would like a good nap and to go out for Ice cream.

MadHatder 03-16-2004 12:20 PM

What if it turned out life was pointless though? What would you do then?

Psivage 03-17-2004 11:23 AM

Have fun. Fuck the rules, do what I want.

ariekitten 03-24-2004 11:01 PM

yes i would like to know it, but what would be asked of me in return? that stuff doesn't just come for free....

Psivage 03-26-2004 08:20 AM

A fee of $1.00 and the whole universe is yours to know.

skullfunk 04-06-2004 02:37 PM

Knowing everything would be great, EVEN IF the explanations are scientific. It would be like knowing how a great book that you don't have enough time to finish ends. Futhermore, it would be like finding out what genre that book belongs to: science? religion? fiction?

Between knowing something and knowing everything, I'll choose the latter.

04-07-2004 03:23 PM

If we were revealed all of Life's mysteries, including our purpose of existance, then we would no longer have purpose to live.
I've gained so much wisdom just looking within and observing the outside world, listening to my feelings.

Menoman 04-08-2004 05:50 AM

A big hell no for me.

My head would probably explode if I were to find out how many conspiracies brought upon innocent people by pure malice or belligerant people.

You could never trust anyone for as long as you lived... You probably wouldnt even trust your own parents anymore if you seen all of what human hands can do.

LowRider 05-07-2004 07:05 PM

I think an interesting follow up would be, then what? After you had all this knowledge, what would you do then?

StickODynomite 05-07-2004 09:25 PM

Some of those questions make for very interesting and LONG conversations. And i like it that way.. but then again.. I'd be WAY too curious to pass that up hehe.

The answers could be both. A simple example would be that its done via science that we humans haven't come across yet or realized yet. It all could make complete sense, yet still be mystical as its over our heads.

Btw, many of you are ready to take that leap... but there would be consequences... Are so willing to take that leap even though there may be no platform to save you from the fall?

Johnny Rotten 06-01-2004 08:21 PM

As every answer leads to more questions, there is no sufficient amount of knowledge. As ignorance is bliss, there are many things I don't want to know the answer to. And although knowledge is power, that power cannot be realized unless you have wisdom as well.
