On another thread we revisited some events of 9/11. Made me start to backtrack and look at some articles. Want to know how they were able to identify the hijackers? Any one know?

Well...first off, most of them made video taped messages to their families before 9/11 saying what they were about to do. Yeah, that's right...those sick fuckers were proud of themselves. The same thing goes on with the suicide bombers in Israel. Actually, it's a pretty common practice with Muslim terrorists...or terrorists of any kind for that matter.

Oddly our soldiers also send video tapes home to their families before they go off to battle...

Well, the videotapes of the terrorists are often more descriptive than tapes from US soldiers. The terrorist tapes (from what I have read) always mention martyrdom and what they will be doing when they meet Allah. I would bet the US tapes are more along the lines of, I'll miss you, I love you, I died for my country.

but i dont know what happened but them tapes are not that important i mean whats a better way to go if you going to blow you ass up then ya might as well go givein them the finger in a video right... but its still wrong

the thing that bothers me on this note isn't the authenticy of the hijackers' identify but i think the gov knew to keep an eye on these motherfuckers and failed.

And there the difference ends, as our troops don't cut the throats of flight attendents with box cutters and then fly planes into building full of civilians without warning.

And we saw those videos the terrorists made? I'm afraid I missed them .... were they on major news channels?

Does anyone else remember (REAL)early reports from one of the hijacked flights where one of the passengers made a frantic cell phone call to a relative and said that "They(the terrorists) were speaking German"? and that they had a red metal box?
This information just STICKS in my head...and the fact that I havent heard anything about this since that chaotic time makes me crazy.

by the way- is it possible to make a cell phone connection (A'la flight 93) at 20- 30 thousand feet? i guess it is.

Yes...they were. Not all of them, but some. In fact the Arab news network Al Jazir, (I'm sure I didn't spell that right...apologies) ran them within weeks of the attacks.

I don't really like how you guys are bad mouthing the terrorists on this thread. They weren't "sick fucks." In their mind they were doing the same thing that Christians did when they went on the crusaides.

Ok maybe calling people names might be lowering ourselves to their level but they sure screwed up - thus the source of the name calling "fuck". And their minds were brainwashed or thinking altered to value life in general so little as to attempt to kill as many as possible. Simply in the name of their "god". Hitler had a "reason" for what he did. He took Darwin's ideas and was enthralled by his theories of evolution. That was his opinions but how many people really would defend him from someone calling him names? Not many for sure.
These people were messed up mentally and they fucked up majorly.

There must be names on the check-in list, usually National Securety knows the names (even fake ones) of these guys. They could also be indentified by video tapes they got from securety cams on the airport.

From one perspective yes.

From another, they are soldiers (of a sort) that carried out orders.

I am not saying I agree with their methods just that they too had families and died for a cause they believed in...
