Being Followed

Well i was coming back from renting a movie and buying a cD and new PC game. When i see this van following me with some letters written ontop of the windshield in big bold white letters spelling out the word W H E Y T E 'S ..

This has no signifigance other then identifing he automobile. Now i dont live in a huge city and i recognize alot of vehicles that come my way cause i have a pretty nice car. So i take notice of certain stuff.

So back to the story. So he turns into my complex and proceeds to follow me in. I go to the end of the circle where he decides to turn on the pathway before the circle. He circles inside the area where some condos are and exits the complex. While i then turn and start to give chase and follow him from a distance. I follow him and when he turns i go straight and turn where i know where i can catch him. He turned to try and lose me but i know where roads go. So i am back behind him again. I finnaly stopped following after i knew there was a big straight long street ahead with no lights. So i didnt ge a chance to get a liecense plate #..

But anyways thats my paranoid attack today.

Now i have to look out for my car now. Grrrrrr... Least i know what that vehicles description is to a T.

You should of got the plate number. I heard somewhere if you think you are being followed make 3 or 4 right hand turns.

There are several ways to find out if you're really being followed. There are also several things you can do in such cases...

How to find out:
- 'double back' - Turn back on yourself as if you made a mistake, then turn back on yourself again. If he follows twice it's no coincedence.
- 4 right-hand turns does the same thing but is less accurate in my opinion.

What to do:
- Stop somewhere totally not where you need to be and leave again. This might tell you if you're being followed, but if the pursuer is not stopping, you will atleast have shown him somebody else's address
- Enter a police station.

BTW: plate numbers are always helpful (try stopping for traffic lights and such to get him close)

I had someone follow me once. I didn't recognize the car, so i tried losing the tailer in a curvy residential area. Finally lost him by stopping my car a T-intersection and taking off the wrong way down a one way for a block when he got right up on my ass. That was pretty fucking weird though. It still makes no sense to me why i was being followed.
If you don't feel threatened you could always just pull over like you were going to park and let the fucker pass. Then if you want you can follow them easily- turn the tables.

One time I followed a car for about 10 miles on an interstate and through various city streets. There were a lot of turns, and I kept staying right behind the guy. Nothing intentional, we just happened to be going to almost the same place. After a few miles the passengers kept looking over their shoulders, then the driver started gunning it at stoplights to pull away from me and quit using his turn signals. Finally he pulled over and let me pass when I was about 2 blocks away from my destination. I felt kind of bad, I think I really freaked them out!

One time I left from school and about a block away from there I got behind some lady. (keep in mind the school takes 20 min to get to on good days) we both drove to the freeway got on and she was going a decent speed so 'i didn't pass her, then she got off on my exit, and started down the street towards my neighborhood, turned onto one of the streets I had to get to, kept turning on 3 otherstreets to my own, and pulled over at my house. She was so scared I was following her that she got out to go take refuge at MY HOUSE, I thought it was hilarious but she didnt.

if I was following you for a reason... you'd not be needing to do those weird turning things.... GPS is my friend.
