What is Worse
Whats worse?
Having all of humanity controlled, steered ond/or directed by a small cabal of nameless, faceless men in some black-lit back room. OR Knowing that the world is in a Free for All. A ship that has no Captain...Wandering the Sea of Eternity, Forever Rudderless? Talk amongst yourselves

The first one.
Why? Simple, I'm not me if I am controlled. Sure the latter I'd be wandering aimlessly, but shit, I'll be damned if I don't do that already! (when i'm inbetween classes on campus, I'll just wander around with no pre-planned direction) Besides that, so there was no cap'n to begin with, it doesn't mean it will end that way. We are a people that invent things and change things. So who is to say after a while we just forgoe the rudder and implement rockets to steer with? Also if its the sea of eternity... Is it that because its so incredibly huge one can never live long enough to get through it? If so, I wouldn't mind, as every second of the voyage would be every bit exciting to me. Free For All's don't always mean anarchy, and lots of times in Free For All's, its amazing how a group of people will team up in order to do better... that being said, again the FFA looks a helluva lot nicer to live in. Siggy response: So was I controlled to give you that response? or did I just come up with that whole thing all on my own? Were my thoughts there solely by some hidden agenda to confuse all of you? If so, is this response here giving you even more reason to be..... Paranoid?

Man controlled by a Big Brother, or no control at all. I think a Big Brother would be worse, since man is pretty fallible, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. And I don't like the idea of someone pushing me around like a pawn.

Actually, as weird as it sounds I don't really care either way. As long as i don't know what decisions they are making for me and what route i am taking, it will still seem like free will.

I must believe that there is a plan apart from Mans Plan. I am eternally hopeful that we as a species are working hand in hand with the Great Architect in our evolution. It seems to me that if there is a God(and i believe there is) ,that He(yes I said HE) would not want his creation to go down the shitter!
It seems that their are guides for us in spiritual teachings, holy books etc...and this works pretty well on a local, individual level. But on the Big-Picture Tube...where ALL of mankind is concerned... well, our ducks are decidedly NOT in a row. Yet.

Either way, we're fucked. But that is just humanity in action. Big Brother would piss me off more, though. So I'll go with option #1.

I dunno, really. Option b appeals more in principle. But if Option A was right then I'd be living in a David Lynch movie. And that would kick ass.
