Have you guys heard of the Carlyle Group?

I read a profile on them recently on The Economist magazine. It's small, extremely profitable equity investment company. They make money the old fasioned way, by having connections. Reading about the company reminded me of those old white men in black suits in X-Files.

There is a book abut them out by Dan Brody. If you are looking for validation for the nagging suspicion in the back of your head that somehow this war in the Middle East is about some rich white men making few extra bucks, this book is for you.
