Loch Ness "monster"
with the release of the newest video, taken this past weekend, I am interested in discussing this.
http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/europe....ap/index.html what are you theories on if this is a real "thing" or not? If so what do you think it is? I have heard several theories over the years and have to say I can see a validity in a lot of them. My favorite though is just a fantasy that comes from reading too many Diana Gabaldon books hehehe. The theory there is that there are "time gates" in the loch that allow the "monster" to travel back and forth which is why its not seen all the time. I've watched this video and honestly....either Im blind or Im just not really seeing what I think to be "nessie" |
meh. I see what they see but apart from a dark shape under water, its not really clear. could be a tree, big fish, reflection, etc... why can't they just find left overs from this animal?
either a tree or animal that was eaten or a pile of crap left on the side of the road from this animal. i'm not convinced. |
I think we all know what this really is.
The Soviets are back... And they've got subs in Scotland. |
Part of me really hopes that it's real. That kind of cryptozoological find would be absolutely astounding. Can you imagine if this is a descendant of a pleaseasaur? Now imagine that it's been able to develop, over millions of years, higher cognitive functions? This is the stuff of science fiction, and that usually makes the best science if it turns out to be true.

"It could be a whale...
It's just a whale, guys." |
I've followed this story ever since I was a kid, hoping that a dinosaur has survived and found refuge... not in the ocean, but in a very deep lake (OK, so that in itself kinda makes it seem farfetched).
Of course, nothing like this happens in Crater Lake, but either the Scottish are extra heavy drinkers, or extra bored, or a little bit of both... .........or maybe there is a "monster" of a creature. I don't know why nobody takes a mini sub and go down there. As well, government satellites would be able to see it, but I guess they wouldn't tell us anyway. |
An interesting read: Cryptomundo.com » Nessie Footage Questions Focus On Filmmaker. The key paragraph:

My great grandfather saw the loch ness monster. Or at least claimed to. He was working on the road that runs round by the Loch (the new one they built in the 30's or whatever) and he fell off a telegraph pole and had a heart attack. When he came round, he said he had seen a creature in the loch, moving towards the show to him. Of course, you might say that the stress of having a heart attack made him hallucinate, if you were a skeptical person! Quote:
