Like Ongoing History of New Music?
Turns out that the Edge is making this show available free for streaming.
http://www.edge.ca/station/ongoing_h...ell=6743&pge=1 For those not in the know, this is a show done weekly by Alan Cross that highlights signifigant events or people in modern rock history. If you've never heard it, definitely give it a listen.

The research Cross does is intense. I've just never liked his delivery. He's just a little too smug.

Charlatan - Given the level of research he does on a weekly basis, I'd suggest that the man is entitled to be a bit smug.
I love the show independent of Alan ross. His delivery is in my opinion good, because he comes across with just enough personality to make it interesting, while not having the material take a back seat to the presenter. And regardless of that, the places he's taken The Edge since signing on as PD are quite good, in my opinion.

I've been listening to this show for years. I kind of like his voice/delivery. I believe that he also does the hockey announcements at the Air Canada Centre for the Bleu et Blanc.
The show is well researched, and it's something that my son and I listen to, together, in the car as we run errands on the weekends.

We are in development with him on a TV series. We pitched the concept to MTV and VH1 and the first thing they said was, "does it have to have Cross?"
They hated him. (shrug)
