You're the boss.
Lessee.. Alice Cooper sarcastically quipped "he has a woman's name and wears make-up. How original." in reference to what modern day act?

Man, I knew that one wasn't going to last long, but I figured it for longer than three minutes.
Re: Dimebag Darrel, didn't he do the guitar solo in Strap It On? No question yet, because thrash isn't my scene. I need confirmation.

I'm too impatient, so I went and looked it up. I'm pretty sure I'm right, although it was a bit hard to track down.
'Nother question now. In the early seventies, Eric Clapton fell heavily into heroin addiction. He withdrew from the music business and eventually began selling his possessions to support his drug habit. When he started selling his prized guitars, another famous rocker stepped in, unable to bear seeing Clapton go so far as to sell the things that matteredmost to him. With this other man's help, Eric kicked the habit and moved on to have a productive career. Who helped him out in his time of need?

Page maybe but he's a prick and I don't see him helping anyone. Beck was probably just as broke, and Townshend was pretty much as reclusive and as into heroin as Clapton was. Harrison very good answer but considering the era and that was the period Clapton had run off with Harrison's wife (I believe), it would have been a true gesture of love and friendship to do so..... course everything I've ever heard of George that may have been the case.

That one's got me stumped. I'd peg it as late 80's/early 90's, but I have no idea what the first single would be.

It the early 80's a supergroup formed for a one-album project dubbed HSAS.
Name three of the members. Bonus points for naming all four. Bonus, bonus points for naming the album.

Kenny Aaronson (who played with the great Joan Jett) Journey's Neal Schon But I don't know the 4th. The album was Through the Fire and it had a damned good rendition of Whiter Shade of Pale on it. My best friend's brother was heavily into Hagar and cough, cough, hack, hack, Journey. I just remembered Aaronson, because I'm a big Joan Jett fan.

4th was Michael Schrieve, who had played drums with Santana.
Damn, I thought I had a thinker, but you pulled that out in less than an hour. Bonus points and all. The floor is yours.

Let's go with the RUNAWAYS a very underrated group and great all girl band.
Name the original lineup..... the three true founding members. Bonus points if you can name those 3 and the most famous lineup. And my awe if you can name the famous band that was not only inspired by the Runaways but included a founding member as the bassist.

I don't know if this is the original or not, i had a friend that was really into that band and wouldn't shut up about them. I tried to learn about then in hopes of impressing her somehow years back I could only remember with certainty last names.
something Jet. Sandy West. Kim Fowley. |

Joan Jett and Lita Ford are probably the most well known members of the group and the bassist you are looking for is "Mikki" Steel who later joined The Bangles.

oooooo close answers.
Kim was the manager, who..... shall we say, took sexual favors from some of the 17 yeard old girls and literally abused the Hell out of them verbally. Good movie to watch is Edgeplay:the Runaways Story..... truly great documentary that had all the major players interviewed except for Joan Jett. You are correct on Micki Steele being the bassist who later played for the Bangles, who were inspired by The RUNAWAYS. BTW, as stated earlier she was one of the 3 true originals..... although she was the only original that didn't record or tour with the band. 2 original founding ladies to go.

Ok this seems to be a stumper:
The original founders were : Joan Jett Sandy West and the Bangles own Micheal (Micki Steele) Kari Chrome was the songwriter The most famous lineup of Runaways was: Joan Jett on Rythm guitar Lita Ford on Lead guitar Cherie Currie as Singer Sandy West on Drums Jackie Fox on Bass Vicki Blue replaced Jackie when she quit and Joan Jett replaced Cherie Currie when she walked. Most of the women are still very, very hot (IMHO moreso now than then)..... the exception is Sandy, she looks rough, but lived a rough life after the band. ok....... let's try Rolling Stones Trivia....... what was the only song (with lyrics) that Brian Jones appears as co-writer. It's one of their biggest selling and my personal favorite Stones song.

I've never seen Jones' name on any album covers. Are you referring to Paint It Black?
Or maybe one of the Nanker Phelge songs?

No Paint It Black. The song appeared as a Jagger/Richards but both have claimed at various times he wrote part of the lyrics with Richards and all the music. Most Stones sites show will give him the due credit for the song. Maybe this is too hard...... there is a restaurant chain named after this song. That should give it away.

Ruby Tuesday?
I had no idea Jones wrote that one. On my copy of Forty Licks, that is most definitely credited as Jagger/Richards. Not sure if I'm actually supposed to guess twice, but it doesn't look like anyone else is getting it.

Canadian prog rockers Rush were nominated for a grammy for their instrumental piece YYZ, off the album Signals.
What (and where) is YYZ?

YYZ is the airport designation for an airport near Toronto, I'm not sure which one.
Edit: And YYZ was on "Moving Pictures", but I'm not nitpicking ![]()

Just to ease the legitimacy of the question.... this is just one site that maintains Jones co-wrote.
