Ultimate wedding music?
If money were not an issue and you could have any band/singer/orchestra/etc. perform at your wedding (either the ceremony or reception), who would you choose and why?
I'd pick the New York Philharmonic for the ceremony, because it'd be awesome to have an entire orchestra. For the reception, I'd go with the Max Weinberg 7 and throw in Conan as the emcee. |
Eh.. I'd have to ask the wife. Part of being married is that she'd get veto power. Or at least, that's how I understand it.
I don't think I'd go for a full orchestra, that'd be a bit much. Mostly because we're planning on a relatively small ceremony and there'd be more people in the orchestra pit than out. For the reception, I'd want something with a lot of energy. Maybe Big Bad Voodoo Daddy or Brian Setzer? Something people could dance to that wouldn't be overly sappy or anything. Seeing as my better half is catholic and wants to get married in a traditional catholic ceremony, I'm pretty sure the actual wedding will be accompanied by church organ. |
Well the band I'd want isnt possible to have since Freddie M is deadso my next choice would def be Brian Setzer

ShaniFaye's a Queen fan?
Actually, that fits. Carry on. |
Martian, IMO no singer thats ever been in existance has the power of voice that Freddie did.

Gratned F-Merc did have some amazing pipes. I don't know about best ever, but he was up there. I just didn't picture Queen as wedding music, as such.
And if we're nominating dead people now, I gotta go for the original Blue Eyed Crooner. Nobody does sappy romance like Frank. And he's so tough that he can do sappy romance and be macho about it. That's enough of a threadjack for me. |
