Ride Wit Me

Yes, the Nelly song...

Does anybody know what the second line actually means? UrbanDictionary didn't turn up anything useful.
Quote:

If you wanna go and take a ride wit me
We three-wheelin in the fo' with the gold D's
Three-wheelin? Fo'? Gold D's? I've never heard these outside of this song.

No idea, I always thought he was saying something was on the floor with a goatee... ok maybe not quite, but thats what it sounds like

LuciferJones 08-11-2005 08:44 PM

three wheelin seems to mean that they are on hydraulics, the rest is unknown :P
fo' is probably used to connect the lyrics in a more "fluid" manner my guess is that Gold D's mean either some sort of outrageously expensive rims, or Double D women

I thought it was 3-wheelin' in the Ford with the gold D's. But hey, no idea.
Three wheeling is hydraulics, when you ride with one of your wheels up in the air.
The fo', I have no idea.
And the gold D's are most likely gold Daytons. Wire wheels.

Actually its (3 women in the fo(4 door) with the gold dubs.

Go to Google and type Nelly + Ride Wit Me. Apparently all the lyric sites don't know what the hell he saying either. They all list something different.

I actually found a site where some guy apparently copied the lyrics straight from the album. So, Im pretty sure it's 3 women in the fo(4door) with the gold d's(dubs) If you listen to it over and over you can tell.
It is funny how all the websites list different lyrics. When I tried searching for the lyrics to a radiohead song.. the lyrics I found were so funny!!
But uh, yeah. Google Nelly N all that. (dont wanna thread steal or whatever)

The '4' means '64

Esoteric 09-01-2005 12:38 AM

Gold D's means Gold Daytons, at least that's what I think. ;]

Three Wheelin, making a turn and doing 3-wheel motion.

VH1: What about "Ride Wit Me"?

Nelly: I freestyled "Ride Wit Me" in the car, like, "If you wanna go and take a ride wit me/ We three wheelin' in the four with the gold cv's/ Oh why do I live this way?/ (Hey, must be the money)" I just ran with that. I didn't know it was going to do what it was going to do. When I'm making these songs, I ain't got no idea that it's going to be a hit. You try to come different on every song.

So we were all wrong. Thanks Google. Thanks ALOT! Alright OneEye, you do your homework well. A+
