I do agree that Lateralus is more 'together'. I just haven't given it enough listens in the right conditions to properly assimilate it all.

Oh, and regarding Salival - yes, it's downloadable. That's how I got it. I got the dvd part too

I am a pretty big fan of tool also, there music is very different. Most there songs are longer than teh average song. Aenima is my favorite album by them.

In my opinion, stay away from that album if you've never heard them before and start with Still Life and Blackwater Park. Damnation gives a very skewed view of Opeth. It's not a bad album, quite the opposite, but it's not what they sound like at all. Just my 2 cents and now back to Tool (sorry!)

Tool Rocks!

Tool is awesome! Lateralus - the best by far! Undertow - Good
Have you listened to A Perfect Circle yet? Mer De Noms- BEST damn album from APC
Maynard is amazing.
I highly recommend checking out Deftones - album (White Pony)
Maynard was featured on one of the songs off of White Pony called "Passenger" Check em out!!
Want some more music similar to Tool/A Perfect Circle/Deftones? Just ask!

Im taking her home with me... all dressed in white.
Shes got everything I need... pharmacy keys.
Shes falling hard for me, I can see it in her eyes.
Shes acts just like a nurse.... with all the other guys.
- A Perfect Circle

So awesome. Kind of scary that I can relate to that.

I don't think those lyrics were written by anyone in APC. I believe the song is a cover.

I don't know if it was mentioned yet, but Tool can sound alot like King Crimson, so you might like them if you like Tool.

No Shit Eh. Its damn Failure, right? "Thanks Noahfor, but let me try again." Said the recovering pill head.

Song: Orestes
Album: Mer De Noms

Metaphor for a missing moment
Pull me in to your perfect circle

One womb
One shame
One resolve

Liberate this will
To release us all

Gotta cut away, clear away
Slip away and sever this
Umbilical residue that's
Keeping me from killing you

And from pulling you down with me in here
I can almost hear you scream

One more medicated peaceful moment
Give Me
One more medicated peaceful moment

And I don't wanna feel this overwhelming
Hostility
I don't wanna feel this overwhelming
Hostility

Gotta cut away, clear away
Slip away and sever this
Umbilical residue

Gotta cut away, clear away
Slip away and sever this
Umbilical residue that's
Keeping me from killing you

Slip away and sever this

Keeping me from killing you

Not trying to steal the thread, take it over or s**t like that. Just thought I'd share those lyrics.
lC3 - If you like the hardcore sound check out System Of A Down. They're slighty similar in that they share their political views. An awesome album from S.O.A.D is 'Steal This Album' Let me know if you listen to it. If you do, how you like it.
