Bands you want albums from

I was thinking, if you could see a release from any band tomorrow, which band would you choose to get new music from?

My pick?
I've been waiting for a new tool album for a while so I'll go with that for now.

Jadedfox 06-13-2005 01:22 AM

Opeth.

New album this fall though :D

Esen 06-13-2005 02:11 AM

Ween,

I would love to see something from them come out

Bacchanal 06-13-2005 07:22 AM

The Doors
Jimi Hendrix
Queen

....

Seriously, Tool more than anyone else.

God of Thunder 06-13-2005 08:22 AM

A new one from Triumph would be cool

ShaniFaye 06-13-2005 08:45 AM

Enuff Z'Nuff (original line up)
Ratt (original line up)
Queen (original line up)

Janey 06-13-2005 08:47 AM

Triumph! what a great pick. Me? I would love to see Pink Floyd. But that would be a long shot ...

so fun bands like The Ramones or Ian Dury (even longer shots!)

maleficent 06-13-2005 08:51 AM

Grateful Dead
Queen
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Jimi Hendrix

(Dream album would be having SRV and Jimi on the same album)

Holy shit, I saw them with Quiet Riot (original line up...minus Randy Rhodes), Warrant, and Poison about 5 years ago...don't know if its original line up though..?

As for my pick, it would have to go to Skinny Puppy. They came out with new stuff a while ago but I really wanna hear more...10 songs isn't enough.

ShaniFaye 06-13-2005 09:28 AM

Nope it wasnt the original line up....I saw that same show here in atlanta, and actually got to hang on the bus with them until about 4 in the morning. It was a dream come true...Donnie Vie even took me up on stage to be with him when he sang the finale with poison....it kicked ass lol

radioguy 06-13-2005 11:45 AM

brand new -- great alternative-type music with amazing harmonies

Was it the Hi-Fi Buys Ampitheater perhaps? Because thats where I saw them.

Redlemon 06-13-2005 11:54 AM

I'd love to have another release by Spiralmouth, an a cappella group. They put out one incredible album (they actually sing Closer by NIN with a female lead, and make it sound right), then vanished.

silent_jay 06-13-2005 12:49 PM

I'd love to hear another album from The Doors, and Jeff Buckley as well, I would love to see what he was coming up with had he not died.

yes it was!!!!! It was great :)

anti fishstick 06-13-2005 03:37 PM

does it have to be realistic?

I go for the Beatles, Smashing Pumpkins and Incubus.

present_future 06-13-2005 04:19 PM

I'd like to see something new from Third Eye Blind. Their last release (Out of the Vein, 2003) was a disappointment after their self-titled debut and then Blue.

Yea, that was a badass show. How weird though... :p

muckluck 06-13-2005 07:36 PM

I can't wait for Tool's new album... and a new Pink Floyd album would be kickass.

trickyy 06-13-2005 09:06 PM

i'm interested in the remaining unreleased elliott smith tracks.

i'd like dr. dre to put out an album that doesn't suck. lately the aftermath crowd has been pretty mediocre. actually, come to think of it, i'd like hittman (chronic 2001's main rapper) to release something.

i wish royksopp would destroy their new album and start on another one.

portishead was supposedly going to release something, never happened.

and i'll throw in amon tobin and bent for good measure.

EDIT: and cornelius and neutral milk hotel

pan6467 06-13-2005 09:13 PM

the KINKS (or a Ray/Dave Davies solo)

teflonian 06-13-2005 09:31 PM

Amen. Another album with Dave would be great. The two new ones they cut several years ago for the end of that Greatest Hits CD just served to let me know that the combo of Dave and Eddie still had the magic and needs to get back together. My vote is definitely with a new Van Halen album with Dave singing.

Ripsaw 06-15-2005 02:07 PM

Linkin Park
Jesus Jones
Gravity Kills
Tenacious D

Tophat665 06-15-2005 02:17 PM

Frank Zappa. (I miss you, Frank!)

scott_p_1 06-15-2005 06:45 PM

Still waiting for Wolf Parade's first full length album.
I'm going to have to make sure I wear socks that day so they can be rocked off.

I'd like an album tomorrow in addition to the one they will be releassing in the fall :). I think you and I are TFP's resident Opeth fanboys, jaded.

tardka 06-15-2005 09:22 PM

Tool, they are heading in an amazing direction and i can't wait to see what new things they can put out. Always up for a Porcupine Tree album, although one just came out.

noodles 06-15-2005 11:07 PM

just saw them live and they put on one hell of a show, so they're fresh in my mind: the feint
