I need a FINALE!
I run the Talent Show here at work, and I'm looking for a good, well-known "finale" number that I can have all the acts come up and sing (along with the audience) at the end of the show.
In previous years, we've used Sinatra's "New York, New York," which works well because: 1) Everybody knows the words 2) We live in NY 3) It's upbeat 4) It's a happy song that ends everything off on a good note. My only worry is that we've overused it. We've also done things like "God Bless America" in the past, but the whole patriotic vibe kinda gives me the willies. So I'm trying to think of another song that would satisfy the above requirements. It has to be popular, and a good send-off. Anybody have any ideas? If anybody suggests "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica, I'm having a mod close the thread. Thank you!
