Who are you singing for?
Even before I had any real contact with girls, I remember listening to songs and imagining situations, possible outcomes, reactions and emotions that could result in a relationship/flirt.
The list of songs that move me emotionally has grown exponentially since then, since I'm a verified introvert, and as such tend to dwell a lot in my own thoughts and emotions. Some songs that bring me to a romantic/what if/thoughtful mood are Oasis - Wonderwall A Perfect Circle - Orestes Pearl Jam - Black Metallica - Nothing else matters Pearl Jam - Yellow Ledbetter Madrugada - Hold on to you Foo Fighters - Everlong and many many more... You all know what kind of songs I'm talking about. Songs that make you want to sing or scream the lyrics out loud as if you're expressing them to a person. Now, being very bad with remembering lyrics, I only rarely can really "sing" a song. I do know however, that when I'm very obsessed with a song, in my mind I think about situations that the song could describe, although I've never had a relationship strong enough with a girl to warrant such emotional outbursts as "nostalgy" of past emotions. So, in the end, I think I really "sing" for someone who will sometime in the future enter my life. Who do YOU sing for? |

^ Haha where are you guys?! I've wanted to be in a band for quite some time now lol. Had offers but then when push came to shove they never got around to it. I'll find someone soon. I plan to learn guitar eventually so that may be one thing I don't have to look for..except for those times I don't feel like playing and just wanna sing and dance Chris Robinson style! haha
Asta!!

Right now, I'm singing for my sight-singing professor...sigh. Yeah, but I guess I can see what you mean. There are a lot of people in the professional singing world who I think forget that the audience is who cares about your performance - I sing for music's sake, because I feel it's my duty to pay homage to music. It's my life, so I should do my damn best to do justice to all the composers and performers before and after me
