Help me find a Wu Tang song
I don't listen to the Wu, but I remember one of their songs from way back had a movie clip in the beginning and I'm trying to get that. It had a little kid talking about his dad, whose job was to kill. All I remember is "blah, blah, he never spoke about the killings..."
Someone's gotta know this.

Liquid Swords off of GZA's Liquid Swords album.
That's my guess anyways..Let me know if you download it and that's it or not.

Hell, yeah, IC3:
When I was little... my father was famous. He was the greatest sam-urai in the empire; and he was the Shogun's decapitator. He cut off the heads of a hundred and thirty-one lords. It was a bad time for the empire. The Shogun just stayed inside his castle -- and he never came out. People said his brain was infected by DEVILS. My father would come home -- he would forget about the killings. He wasn't scared of the Shogun, but the Shogun was scared of him. Maybe that was the problem. Then, one night... the Shogun sent his ninja spies to our house. They were supposed to kill my father... but they didn't. *woman screams* That was the night everything changed...

^ Yes it is. Now if you have the money pick up Ghostface Killah's - IRONMAN album. It's just as good as Liquid Swordz if not better just different. Many MANY many other albums though.

YESSSS!!!! I didnt realize so many WU-FANS!!! long live the WU, im a HUGE fan got all there music!
The best ones are the original ones, the FIRST ones made by each clan member... Meth - Tical is better than judgment day and Tical 0 Raekwon - OBFCL is better than immobilarity ODB - obviously Return to the 36, is GREAT better than the other Ghost... by far IRONMAN GZA - Liquid Swords one of my favorite Cappa's first one uhhh whats the name... the pillage, was decent I honestly am not happy with the new stuff, but its still decent... Great memories! |

K-Wise, I actually hate rap, including Wu Tang, I just wanted the intro to that song. And if I wanted the album, I wouldn't pay for it, if you get my drift.

Birth of a Prince & Digital Bullet..Both very good. RZA also has another album out called "The Recipe for the Cure" I havent grabbed it yet but from what i heard he did some work with Stevie Wonder. U-God AKA Goldenarms albums? As far as i know he's got 2 albums out "Redemption" & "U-God presents The Hillside Scramblers", I read good reviews about "U-God presents The Hillside Scramblers" so am interested in getting this. Inspectah Deck albums? I had "Uncontrolled Substance" or whatever it's called and thought it wasn't very good, I also got "The Movement" that's not too bad. Killah Priest albums? I don't have any of these but am dying to pick up "Heavy Mental" i heard very good things about this album..Anybody confirm? I can't find any samples from it. I know he as atleast 1 other album, But not sure what it's like. And not being happy about the new stuff..Wait 5 years, It will be even better..I think sometimes alot of new hiphop is sometimes ahead of it's time and usually always turn's into some classic material..The only albums that have been released lately that i haven't really liked is Ghostface's "The Pretty Toney Album" & As crazy of an MC that Methodman is..I haven't really felt any of his solo work, He shines alot more when he's together with the rest of the clan IMO.

Ghostface - Supreme Clientele....some cool beats and flows
GZA/Genius - Beneath the Surface....dont sleep on it As far as new Wu goes....Masta Killa's No Said Date album...pretty crafty..just my opinion for classic Wu though...obviously nothing beats Liquid Swords, Only Built for Cuban Links, or Enter the Wu |

I think I'm the only guy who actually LOVED Uncontrolled Substance. But Deck is my favorite Clan member so it was only natural I'd like a whole album of his.
You can't sleep on the Wu Affilates either! Killarmy - Silent Weapons For Quiet Wars is fuckin dope. Remedy's album was good too last time I checked it. Wu and their affiliates almost have too much good shit to keep up with. Asta!!

The RZA is actually disappointing, I never liked his stuff, he's SOOO much better just producing it, and joining in on other albums (kinda an oxymoron huh?) ... the only real decent song he put out (on his own) was tragedy... Bobby Digital wasnt too good, nevertheless Its still the WU, and when you love one thing so much, it still satisfies..
Heavy Mental is decent... I really liked a few songs on there....the best on is B.I.B.L.E, (which was on liquid swords), I really liked One Step, tai chi, if you dont know, .... man come to think about it (while listening to it) Its actually pretty good... lol the thing about the Wu is that whenever they are together, they shine, individually you will always find a few songs that are GREAT, but the entire album doesnt shine like Enter the 36, that was a tremendous album.... event Wu-Tang Forever was excellent... If you are a newbie to the Wu, though, just get the Wu-Chronicles, and you will be set... (greatest hits).... oh and someone mentioned beneath the surface... yes that album is great.... if you dont listen to it for a while, then hear it again, its awsome.... and lots of bass too... |

The reason i like RZA so much is because i look at his solo stuff as experimental hiphop (I forgot about his album bobby digital, another good one) He has so many different styles IMO.
I sometimes get overwhelmed when it comes to my HipHop collection, I have so many albums that i have to store some away in boxes cause i got no where to put them

Ya i'm trying to track down that album
Here's a small piece of my collection. My plan when i get my own place is to dedicate the biggest wall to a shelf that spans the width & height of the wall for just my albums, Being in alphabetical order..Cause right now..I got them scattered everywhere. It's a huge mess, I got CD's in other artist's case's and...Blah, Not looking forward to getting them all back in order. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/Winston04/IMG_0879.jpg">
