Well, I may be a bit late here, but I figure I'll chime in.

First off....Welcome to the TFP Ernie Ball Owners Association. So far I think its just you and I. There is punch and cookies over by the fireplace.

Now that we're past the formalities......Chrome. I think it just looks better. The knobs should match all the hardware on your bass, at least in my opinion. Which is somewhat hypocritical, because the hardware on my guitar is all chrome, tuners trem and switches, yet my knobs are black. They came that way however.

I'd say a black chrome. Chrome just doesn't fit me, personally, yet on your unit, fly, that black just didn't seem to fit. Black chrome kicks ass, though. Probably not too cheap, though.

Like maybe some lime green ones with eyeballs painted on the ends of them??
