Favorite Summertime Music - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

There's something that makes the music sound better when the sun is out, it's warm and there's a nice breeze, at least for me. I've found that I have a certain playlist of bands that I listen to for this reason. Bands that always make me feel kinda carefree and bouncy.

My summer music picks are Sublime, Bob Marley and the Dead.

What are some of your favorite bands to jam out to on a warm, sunny day?

Wumpscut
The Tea Party (they always play local shows throughout the summer)
Godspeed
Radiohead
My Dying Bride
Hocico
The Locust

all of these bands totally sybolize summertime for me.

'70's Country-Rock seems to typify summer to me; bands like Pure Prarie League, Grinderswitch, Poco, NRPS- that type of music just sounds like summer.

Radiohead is a great summertime band!

Summertime makes me think of OzzFest, and OzzFest is loud....

So pretty much anything loud and heavy, so sitting at a stop light the people next to you have to look and give you the evil glare...

I'm also gonna hvae to put in a vote for SUBLIME. Can't beat taht and a beer (and/or spliff) sitting outside on a warm summers day. Ooooh yes!
