I'm going to start ripping/ reripping my cd collection and i want to do it right. I am comp illiterate but not incompetent. I was wondering does anyone has any tips for modifiying Cdex?

I went ahead and sfv'd all the albums I ripped myself, and I'll do that for all the future ones that I rip as well. I also may sfv albums if I listen to the whole thing and confirm their quality.

tag and rename works great, although i have a number of albums that i still had to do by hand

make sure you have this program running while using soulseek, just to be safe

I've added all of you to my buddy list, but it says for a few of you that your user name doesn't exist... :confused: I noticed that the buddy list is case sensitive, so I think that might be the case. Anyone else have this problem ?

yeah that's more than likely your problem. Make sure it's spelled and spaced and all the cute little characters are there in the right order

anyone here moved onto the Soulseek beta test program? I've been using it lately, and al though there aren't nearly as many people on it, I'm getting inctedible search results, even on obscure indie stuff. Definetly check it out.

I did that too, and still had problems. A few people in the thread had the sentence with their user name in it have a period at the end, but I didn't add the period to the user name [so I don't know if some people intentionally have a period at the end of their user name]
