Music albums for the winter time
I usually listen to "heavier" stuff in the winter, since the weather induces depressing and moody feelings on me. Somehow I want to be left alone (but ironically I also want to be found out

I've definitely noticed that during the fall and winter months I tend to really up the amount I listen to metal and techno. During spring and fall I stick more to the punk side of thing. Heavier music fits better with the cold and dark, for obvious reasons.
A few picks: VNV Nation-Futureperfect Nightwish-Once Iced Earth-Something Wicked This Way Comes Rob Dougan-Furious Angels Any Orbital |

I tend to listen to a lot more electronic, industrial, and dowtempo music. Stuff like Haujobb, KMFDM, Lovage, and Scorn. I also break out the old school black metal, like Satyricon and Emperor.
During the fall, the first Korn CD is a must. |

These CDs in particular are ones I strongly think of as winter CDs:
The Shins - Oh Inverted World The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow Belle & Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister Belle & Sebastian - The Boy With the Arab Strap Cursive - The Ugly Organ (particularly because of "The Recluse")

Hmm I'm prolly the only guy here but I used to like to listen to hip hop in the winter time...
Wu-Tang Clan - 36 chambers, Forever..solo albums Liquid Swords, Iron Man, Uncontrolled, Cuban Linx Canibus - Can-I-Bus Black Star Pharoahe Monch - Internal Affairs Mos Def - Black On Both Sides The Roots - Things Fall Apart, Illadelph Halflife Dilated Peoples - The Platform, Expansion Team Mars Ill - Raw Material Pete Rock - Soul Survivor Bullworth - The Soundtrack Eminem - Slim Shady LP Nas - Illmatic Killarmy - Silent Weapons For Quiet Wars etc. but now a days I don't tend to listen to any particular albums during any particular time...a lot of times I'll get a new album and listen to nothing else for like a freakin month or 2, or I'll pick up an album I haven't listened to in a long time and listen to it for a while, and I'll admit sometimes I feel like hearing a particular album...these days Pink Floyd are kinda ruling my CD walkman heh. Asta!!

A girl I met online from Aussie sent me a CD compilation a while back called "Culture Of Kings" well a copy of it that is...It reminded me of "The Streets" because the accents were a little thick on some of them. It took some getting used to but it has it's appeal.
Asta!!

Immortal - 'Blizzard Beasts' - great cold, desolate atmoshere. Still need to get ahold of 'Sons of Northern Darkness'
Red Harvest - Sick Transit Gloria Mundi - industrial metal, very apocalypse-themed ("Last chance to evacuate the Earth" being the best opening line. Ever.) From fast and pounding to slow and grinding, heavy as hell the whole while. Both bands from Norway, interestingly enough. Must be the climate.
