that video was so sweet back in the day. Also like "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam. There was also a certain song by another band in Seattle that was really great, but since i got "Closer" I'll let someone else have that.

Lot to be said for "Sober", but I have got to go with Tom Petty - "Don't Come Around Here No More." Surreal, literate, and ironic trumps surreal and disturbing.
Honorable mentions to Talking Heads, "Once in a Lifetime" - David Byrne is such a freak - and Duran Duran for "Girls on Film". How can you beat women in next to nothing on a whip-creamed pole feeling each other up?

Ironic that Metallica got 2 nods for the video for "One" when you take into consideration that Metallica had said at one point that they would NEVER do a video.
disappointing that such a a great video was one of the things that marked the beginning of their sellout to corporate influences. |

I once did this... except I just stood completely still in the middle of a dance floor. And everyone was looking at me, asking me who I was, and why I was *just* standing there... very awesome video.
