sneakerpimps kind of fall into the category of trip hop. kind of. there's a ton of bands like this, and I love them all, except I'm at work and my mind is rotting and I can't think of them right now but I'll check at home later and update the post for you..
in the meantime, check out www.audioscrobbler.com ... it's a website that logs what you play in through your music player (itunes, winamp, etc), builds a record, and then suggests other music/people to you. ... or.. www.allmusic.com also offers suggestions based on artists. ..ps... propellerheads are good, like the sneakerpimps. |

Sorry man, but I've never even heard of any of them; I'm just a 35-year-old-fart with no good radio stations to learn from. But, give a try to MusicPlasma; it is a very cool tool for finding related bands.

Remember a time before emo, trip hop, rap-rock, etc. where whenever a band didn't fit the specific catagory of rock, hard rock, or metal...later New Wave, Punk, and Grunge got added but didn't fit those either so they just called it "Alternative". I remember when Radiohead first came out they called it "Alternative Rock" which seemed to fit pretty well. Now people are tryin to call em emo, and what not. I gotta say some people hate when ya put a label on something. I don't but some people do. Not to say that I love it..I don't really care...at the most it only makes it a little easier to find in a record store..I think thats the only real reason we have genre's/catagories, etc. anywayz.
Asta!!
