I recently got turned on to this band, I am curious about what others think. It speaks to me for some reason. Very chaotic, psychotic and down right vicious at times. I love it. Such feeling and compassion. What do you think?

Bought the DVD, not bad, she def has a studio voice!

They're a pretty worthless band.

Their lead singer has so many effects on her voice that it's barely even her, the guitar work is boring, and the drumming is nothing special. Their lead singer has also made herself out to be very egotistical - she challenged other artists to a show-down of talents to see who's better.

There's so many better bands you could be listening to.

Otep is at best OK...but that's stretching it still. However, if the music speaks to you then listen to it.. I mean they need at least one fan right?

'Mastadon - Leviathan' was an album recommendation. Since Otep is so terrible I figured I'd recommend you something good to listen to.

I'm not much of a Nu-metal fan but Slipknot, Chimaira, and Downthesun are worth a listen.

Very well said, as you see with me to I don't argue about anyones opinion. That is why we have some many genres of music, something for everyone.

I like Chimaira alot, kinda burnt on them lately. Looking for something new, edgy to stick my teeth into.

I saw them at the Roxy a few years ago. I really dug them, and Otep herself is so awesome! I love "Blood Pigs" and "Filthee." Haven't heard anything off the new ablum, though.

I thought their first album was alright, but I chucked their second one right out the window. There wasn't hardly any friggin music on it. It was just her whining and shit for ever and ever and ever. wtf? I hate wasting money on gimmicky crap.
