Are there any good industrial rock bands anymore?
Are there any good industrial rock bands like old school bands like NIN, KMFDM, Ministry etc.. exist anymore?
|

Well, Stabbing Westward WAS a good one. But, it's too bad that they are no more. I don't know if you can consider Static-X a truly industrial rock band, but they are a favorite of mine. Try Skinny Puppy or RAMMSTEIN!:D |
Hehe, i was just recently listening to my SW cds.
The most recent was fucking terrible, but the others are just great. I wouldn't recommend their lyrics at all, but their albums always make me feel good- i think they remind me of summer time or something. |
Try listening to Ohgr. Ex skinny puppy guy doing industrial synth now. Its good stuff.
|
:wumpscut:
german industrial :) |
Try 'Front Line Assembly'
|
lets see.......
chemlab- even though they dont exist anymore. Slick Idiot- ex KMFDM members En Esch and G. Shulz OHgr- i just have to second that recommendation Numb Pig- or anything by raymond watts..... Pigface- kind of an industrial supergroup Cevin Key's solo stuff- kind of experimental but still good Download - another Cevin Key band Front 242- kinda old.....still good. Sister Machine Gun - more rock than industrial on the newer stuff, but once again.. still good. |
Tomahawk could be considered indust. so could Fathaoms(sp?)
|
I got a few for ya.
Check out: Godflesh Scorn Coil Meat Beat Manifesto Das Ich Prong |
Marilyn Manson.
|
Gravity Kills put out thier last album this past year and it's f'ing great... I alsom recommend early Sister Machine Gun with the same caveat that BobotheMF gave.
Also, if you live on the east coast, check out Carfax Abbey. |
The Sisters of Mercy, while probably labelled as a strictly goth band by some, have put out many good industrial-type-like tunes. Almost everything on Vision Thing had that feel, and a few tracks on Floodland as well.

I also second the new Gravity Kills. Good stuff. |
i dunno, no new bands are doing the industrial dance/industrial pop thing anymore. if you like NIN, you might like Kid606, Cex, and Atari Teenage Riot. also, invisible records acts like Pigface, Damage Manual, Murder Inc., etc. are usually a good choice. i'd also recommend Foetus, though he may be too weird for ya. ;)
|
check out aussie band JERK... some of their stuff i find to be quite industrial.
|
check out "Paradise Lost" - great stuff. their last album was engineered by fhys fulber - ie. Front Line Assembly, Noise Unit (get DECODER - it's fantastic), Delerium, Conjure One, etc.
also Front 242 just came out with a new album - should be in my mailbox any day now.... |
I always loved Nitzer Ebb. No longer around, but they have some great music.
|
Some of my favs.
Theatre of Tragedy Bella Morte Imperative Reaction Decoded Feedback Then there is the more dancey style of EBM, for which I have a million recommendations. |
for some reason i cant stand nitzer ebb..... but to each their own i suppose.....
just found out there's going to be a new chemlab album at the acumen nation website.....another good band |
What ever you do, just stay away from EBM...bleh for EBM
|
Rammstein... Um I dunno. Neuveau-synth-pop is really the big thing right now, industrial/rock hybrids having slipped away from popularity a few years ago. sk
