Music that is art

So I have to write a paper on a song that is "art". Meaning that it has to be critical about society, open people eyes to something that is going on in the world. So I just wanted to know if anyone has any songs that fit this description. I have these songs that I might be able to write a paper about but as you can see it would not be a very good paper:

War - Why Can't We Be Friends

Crosby Stills Nash & Young - Prison Song

Everlast - What its like

John Lennon - Imagine

I don't agree with that definition of art. Who gave it to you?

the criteria of that are stupid because not all "art" is critical about society etc...... that's whoever assigned the paper's fault though...

other ideas:

NOFX - The Decline (you'd have plenty to write about, this baby's 18 minutes long)

Metallica - One

System of a Down - Spiders, Prison System (or Prison Song, i forget what it's called), Boom.... theres plenty by them. Not the deepest pieces though.

Rage Against the Machine - Freedom, Settle for Nothing.... just about any Rage song really.

The Streets - The Irony of it All (this would make for a very interesting, and possibly really amusing, paper..... just read it)

The Faint - Agenda Suicide, Sealed Human, Worked Up So Sexual.... any of those might work with more looking into.

Iron Maiden - Age of Innocence perhaps

Joe Jackson - Sunday Papers

Desaparecidos - Greater Omaha, Mall of America, The Happiest Place on Earth, $$$$$, Hole in One, Survival of the Fittest.... really any of their songs would be pretty good

Dead Kennedys - SO many songs

The only problem with these is that they're not really REVOLUTIONARY, any of them, but they do criticize society and all. Not really amazing eye-openers that no one would have heard of before.

My brother did a great paper (A+) about Dissection's "Where Dead Angels Lie," saying that it was about the corruption of th epurity and innocence of children by the media and violent entertainment.

Critical of society, opens people's eyes.
