Meteora - Linkin Park
Just bought it, with the Making of DVD.
It's pretty awesome. Haven't finished listening to it yet. It opens pretty awesomely though. It's some kick ass cruisin' music though so far. This is the kind of music you want to have a convertible for. Top down, chrome spinning! |

I enjoyed it but I hate the fact that its so short. 36 minutes give or take. That is way to short for a cd even if the songs are really good.

I like this album a lot.
I have to walk to the bus station every day to get a ride up to class (car = totalled), and I listen to this album on the walk to and from the station. I like all the songs, and find them to be very diverse and unique. IMO Linkin Park seems to be a band that is improving with time, and I think it will be interesting to see what direction they go with their future albums.

I like Meteora about as much as Hybrid Theory...both great albums, with plenty of replayability...glad I broke down and bought it!

The first five songs are cool, after that, I get bored and put in some the mp3 downloaded. Ot even better, I put out a cramps disk.

I am a dedicated LP fan.
I like Meteora, but after a month of listening to it, I will say this: It has no edge. There is very little "jump around" quality. Now I'm not saying that's bad, but the first couple tracks on Hybrid Theroy are rockin. Meteora has a different feel. I want another album from these guys in less than 12 months, and I want to feel it kick me in the stomache.

I agree with the above statement, its a great CD, just very short. Favorite song is Breaking the Habit.
It almost sounds like each band member wrote 2-3 songs a piece and they go in order ala mr han track 9,10,11 as its very scratchy, 7,8 as the drummer as its more drum heavy, etc. i may be reading way into it, just a thought as ive listened to it.
