NOFX live
Although they're pushing 40 or so they still fucking rock like mad live. I was lucky enough to catch them last night.
I have to say though, it's not so much the music, but the jokes and humour they bring! The same goes for Bad Religion who were here last week as well! Not a bad couple of weeks for shows! --jaded |
Ive seen NOFX live before, and i agree that they rock hard as hell for guys pushing forty. Also, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes has the same feeling of humor in between songs. When i saw the Gimmes, Fat Mike swaggers toward the mic, leans in and said "I woke up at noon today (it was about 3:30) with a fuckin' hangover... so i kept drinking and hoped it would go away." after two songs, he came over again and said "Hey how bout that? We played a song and I didnt fuck it up! When I do that, raise your hands above your heads so i know im not fuckin up."

You know, I have never been a big fan of them. Their shows are more about the acting than the music. But yes, for their age, and for as long as they have been in the business, they are very talented, and very creative.
Now, I saw them with the Mad Caddies, and they rocked. If you want to see a really funny story about them, scroll back to my 25th journal entry. |
I saw them play at the Tacoma Dome parking lot in 95 or 96 I think at the Warped Tour, and it was a pretty good show.
I didn't realize it at the time, but the guy standing next to me while I was watching the show was the lead singer from Goldfinger. That was pretty cool. He thanked me for not pointing him out in the crowd. |
