Who is the hardest man in all of music?

I am going for Freddie Foxxx, he is a beast, in a straight up fair fight I think he would destroy any musician currently working (I just hope N.O.R.E. doesnt carry out his threat to shoot him the next time he see's him :( ...)

Honourable mentions gotta go to:

Joseph "Fat Joe" Cartegena
Billy Danzini
RBX
The lead singer of Pantera (Phil Alsemo?)
Raymond Benzino
Vinnie Paz
Jadakiss
Beanie Seigel
Dave Mustaine

And Suge Knight, or any other criminals who work for record companies dont count... Im talking about people who actually make music!

noahfor 05-08-2004 01:03 PM

Danzig, dude.

filtherton 05-08-2004 01:32 PM

Max Cavalera

World's King 05-08-2004 01:38 PM

Lemmy.

'nuff said.

noahfor 05-08-2004 02:19 PM

Why don't you have like a contest. Where there are rounds and we vote on the winner of each match.

Esoteric 05-08-2004 02:35 PM

Vinnie Paz

rockzilla 05-08-2004 03:25 PM

GG Allin.
He would have wanted you to kill him.
For pure badassness though, nobody beats Young Johnny Cash.

Polyphobic 05-08-2004 07:18 PM

Cross jello biafra's attitude and Henry Rollins and you would have had one angry man with muscles to match.

In reality I'll go with Danzig

noahfor 05-08-2004 11:01 PM

I remember seeing kataklysm and thinking the singer could kick my ass.

streak_56 05-09-2004 04:48 AM

Henry Rollins

done and over with

Macheath 05-09-2004 06:27 AM

Who cares about macho posing - leave that shit for the movies (where Harvey Keitel ownz). In music, what counts is what goes on when the instrument is being played.

Shout out for the Jazz contingent....

Arturo Sandoval - as a trumpet player I know what kind of physical control it takes to reach the upper register. When I listen to his latin jazz, my jaw drops as he casually improvises his way into the stratosphere.

I second that, Henry Rollins!

KWSN 05-09-2004 01:00 PM

after this, I have doubts about Phil Anselmo...:

http://www.metal-sludge.com/ExposedPantera.htm

That being said, I agree with Henry Rollins. I'd like to add Jamey Jasta.

bparker805 05-09-2004 01:17 PM

I will agree with the Danzig and Rollins nominations. I actually saw Glenn clock a guy at a show in Hollywood once! I wonder if he was an angry child...

Chingal0 05-09-2004 01:21 PM

GG Allin is messed up. I second his vote.

noahfor 05-09-2004 01:24 PM

Henry Rollins is a little cry baby. Listen to "I know you". The birds are his true friends. Just because his neck is bigger than my waist doesn't mean anything. Just kidding by the way. Don't get mad at me.

The Man In Black

All of the men listed previously would bow in the presence of Johnny Cash. Doesn't even matter that he's dead now.

A harder man you will not find in music.

absolutely

zfleebin 05-09-2004 06:52 PM

I agree with everyone that said Johnny Cash. Still, I gotta admit I never wouldve fucked with Frank Sinatra back in his day because my whole family wouldve probably gotten whacked.

crow_daw 05-09-2004 08:06 PM

Well, OK no one can sit here and deny that 50 Cent is hardcore. The man was SHOT NINE TIMES, and lived to tell the tale, and even brag about it.

BUT

No one touches The Man in Black, I cannot argue with that. He would make Fifty his little bitch. He would teach him respect. He would put mayonnaise on him and eat him like a sandwich.

wrongfullyaccuzd 05-09-2004 08:19 PM

For some reason I'd like to see Andrew WK get his ass beat. Fortunately I think most people mentioned thus far could do it.

TopRamen66 05-09-2004 08:38 PM

I think Zakk Wylde is a badass.

Jadedfox 05-10-2004 01:52 AM

My vote goes to Danzig, hands down.

Where exactly did 50 cent get shot?

Bobaphat 05-10-2004 10:26 AM

I vote Danzig as well. He's got some serious short-man's complex. He is one mean motherfucker. Don't mention the misfits around him if you want to stay in one peice.

gallopingwanker 05-10-2004 03:35 PM

nicholas barker from OMC and dimmu borgir....?

perripken 05-10-2004 04:48 PM

Hands down Barry Manilow

Danzig is a good bet.

Also, I saw Type O Negative in concert, and despite the imposing dark-leather sausage-fest, the singer looked like he could have taken the crown on and lived to tell the tale. But the whole posing in playgirl thing disturbs me.

brinkn1 05-10-2004 08:28 PM

Danzig yo.

My buddy was at a Danzig concert & saw some dude tell Glen that he loved his stuff with the Misfits & Glen straight up clocked him. Didn't say a word either.
