What albums to you listen to when you're doin' it?
I had a good friend of mine ask me a few days ago what albums I could recommend that would really shake up the bed for him and his girlfriend. Besides the usual artists known for bedtime lust music - ie - Enigma and Delerium - i couldn't really come up with anything. (By the way, if you don't know about Delerium, just pick up "Semantic Spaces" - it's a gem...)
So I pose this question to my fellow TFP'ers - What album or albums do you listen to when you're in the mood to slip into something more comfortable with your signifficant other(s)?

I can't believe nobody's mentioned the 'basics.'
Anything by Marvin Gaye also known as "The Man" And any real slow R&B stuff. I don't normally listen to this stuff, but I enjoy the pace and it's usually very husky sexy stuff. And if all else fails SportCenter is on like every 20 minutes....

"what music turns you on when you listen to it?"

Sade! Sade's Lovers Rock is one of the best albums to have sex to EVER. Anything by her qualifies. It also turns me on/gets me in the mood...it's slow, sultry and sexy. Oooh.

Granted, I'm a virgin, but to me I'd rather listen to the music made by my partner's screams

What about Ravel's Bolero? Anyone remember that from the moview "10"? I have a South American style guitar version of it by Stanley Jordan.
If you have read any Douglas Adams, you know the importance of Dire Straits. Any Sade or Toni Braxton. Winelight by Grover Washington. The list is almost endless.

wow, you all have some great suggestions... i never would have thought to try Dire Straits or Sade - although Sade should have been obvious, i think...
also, george michael's older album? which one was that - Faith?

Are you looking for specifically sexual songs, or songs that would provide good backround for the act itself?
For setting the mood: "Let's get it on", "Sexual Healing" by Marvin Gaye. Obvious. "Tuppelo Honey" by Van Morrison. Best love song ever. As for maintaining: Dave Matthews had some good stuff. "Satellite", "Let you down",etc U2 as well "All I want is you", etc. But the ultimate lovemaking song? "Caress Me Down" by Sublime. How can a song whose second line is "I'm hornier than Ron Jeremy" be wrong?

my girl and i can't listen to tricky's maxinquaye w/o gettin' naked...
also like jill scott, otis redding, marvin gaye, ben harper, maxwell, jaheim and sometimes i'll throw on some old school d'n'b if we are really energetic! basically if we like it to begin with, we like it when we are amorous, but that damn tricky album is a serious thong melter. c_b
