My first album I picked out myself was Joan Jett and the Blackhearts I Love Rock and Roll. I was 6 at the time. Go figure.

I still remember the day I became co-owner, with my brother, of Wierd Al's "Dare to be stupid."

Fonzies Favorites - some thrown together thing with 50's music that was out when Happy Days was popular. Yes, I know. I'm old.

Bought it in late '78 when I was 10 on vinyl and had it taken away shortly therafter when my Mom heard "Big Balls" cranked up coming from my room. I found it a few years later in the back of her closet and still have it to this day. No record player to play it on though :(

beach boys endless summer on vinyl. i was ten.

First albums I ever had... Winnie the Pooh & Tigger, Too and some Chip 'N Dale record. Xmas presents when I was 3 or 4. I still have both.

First album I had when I liked music... Barbra Streisand's GH vol. 2. Given to me by my parents not long after I got my first turntable...at 8 or so. Still have it.

My dad bought me my first CD, which was Puff Daddy and the Bad Boy Family: No Way Out. He just knew I was into rap, so he bought it. Now, I was like 12 or 13 or something, but up until this point, I had just listened to my dads stuff, The Beatles, The Stones, Springsteen, this is the stuff I grew up on. And I went from that to Sean "Puff Daddy- P. Diddy-Dip Shiddy-whatever the hell hes calling himself these days" Combs

the first album (not cd) i bought with my own money was SHABOO SHOOBAH by INXS. yes, i still own it, but had to replace it with a cd, ending with their anthology. it's a shame hutch had to kill himself.

The first album I ever owned was Devo's "Freedom of Choice" and I still own it. They still sound as original as they did back in the late '70s.

My first cassette, which I stole from my brother was Ozzy Osbourne - Diary of a Madmen. I listened to that over and over. First one I bought was Ozzy's Tribute to Randy Rhodes.

I believe the first cassette I ever bought was Micheal Jackson's "Bad" album, and I think that first CD I bought was Anthrax's "Attack of the Killer B's" or something like that...both of which I regret immensly

First album I bought was Metallica Kill em All. It was on vinyl. That is those big black disks, for those too young to remember.

First album I BOUGHT was Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole. I was really into electronica and techno in those angsty highschool days (eh...). :D

Before that I sustained myself on my dad's CD collection - he has a huge collection of classic rock stuff - Pink Floyd, Uriah Heep, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, etc. Hell, even today I often find myself listening to them. I don't remember listening to the Chemical Brothers for a looong time now.

THRILLER

My frist tape was GnR - Appetite for destruction. Bought it in 5th grade. I don't have that one I bought, lost it and then got it agian.

My Frist CD was Rage Agianst the Machine - Self Titled and I still have it.

Big Ones by Aerosmith. I actually took it back the next day. It had been a Christmas present. I forget what I traded it in for.

First Album - American Pie
Last Album - Final Cut - Pink Floyd, then waited for a cd player to get near $200.

"Weird Al" Yankovic - Dare To Be Stupid. An excellent album. buy it, It's hilarious!

Second album I bought was: Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet. Who knew it would become a classic?

I remember not really getting into disintegration at the time, it got shelved for a couple of years... I came back to it and WOW !!!! I couldn't believe how good it was (and still is)

sheeze... that is tough.. my mother turned me on to the beatles.. so I had revolver, and one other.. an old one with them all sitting on chairs with umbrellas over their heads.. .. no rain however....heh.

My first cd was when I was about 13 and it was Green Day - Nimrod. Still one of my favorites!

My first record was a 45 - Paper Lace "The Night Chicago Died", and I still love that song.

what a great thread. My first album (I think it was a cassette) was Van Halen's 1984. And I was just listening to that CD today.
