The first cassette I bought was Guns n Roses Appitite for Destruction. My first CD was Metallica's black album. I still have that CD too.
Edit: Oh yeah and that was back in the day when CDs came in long cardboard boxes. I still have that box.

My first album that I purchased all on my own was Pat Benetar (her cover album).
I think I still have it somewhere, but all my vinyl and my table is packed right now.

First album was 'Paid in Full' by Eric B. & Rakim. I hadn't heard any of it but I was drawn to the gold paint on the sleeve.
First CD was 'Dummy' by Portishead. I bought it about 2 months before I could afford a CD player. It's still my favourite album.

I'm almost ashamed to admit this, but my first album was Charlie Daniels Band-Million Mile Reflections. The one with Devil Went Down to Georgia. Still have it and still remember all the damn words.
First cassette was Joy Division- Unknown Pleasures. Now I own it on vinyl.

It was either Houses Of The Holy by Zeppelin or the White Album by the Beatles. Either way,it was '75, I was 10 and my friends thought I would die and go to hell. Then again, they were listening to the Bay City Rollers.Anyone remember them? I think one of them just got popped for kiddie porn.
