Metallica North America Tour
 

I was wondering if there are any Metallica fans out there. They kicked off their North America tour here in Phoenix on Tues, 3/2. Although the sound was bad in the nosebleed section, I thought it was a great show. My brother got to the floor and said the sound was perfect. They played a good set, one special thing is that they played Holier than Thou for the first time in over 10 years. A lot of people hate them now, but they still play their hearts out live.

They are doing a really cool thing with this tour, a couple days after each show, you can download the entire show for about $10 from one of their websites. I got the Phx show I went to and damn did it sound great. Perfect mix.

I'm hoping this thread can be used by fans that see their shows on this tour. Give us a little report about the show if you can.

If I could afford a Metallica concert, I would probably go, but I would take my bathroom breaks during St. Anger songs. :lol:

I saw them live for the "Black" album, and they do put on a pretty great show. Not the best I've seen, but damn good.

I miss their hair.

I miss their rock. And hair. And cheap ticket prices.

They won't be to Chicago until late August!

Can't wait for them to announce the dates for here...I've seen them 12 times or so and although tix are way more than the first time I saw them in the club days... they are worth every penny!!!!

Dude you won't regret it. The show was great. They've been changing the setlist around with each show. In LA they even played Dyer's Eve for the first time ever.

I've seen them 9 times previously, and I am a HUUUGE Metallica fan, but I am not about to pay 75 bucks to see them this time around. I hated St Anger (the percussion on that album just grates at my ears!) I would love to see them, so I'll try to win tix from the local radio stations when they come around and from the fan club, of which I've been a member for a number of years, but unless I win the Lotto, they're out of my price range.

i wen to the tucson, aZ show, it was awsome, i was surprised when i heard lots of the old school tallica. they played the two singles from St. Anger, then fuel, and everything else was the black album and back. Master of Puppets, Creeping Death, Battery and Blackened were all awsome, and an encore of Motorbreath and Enter Sandman, it roCKed! ahahahhahaa

I was gonna go to the Charlotte show but the cheapest tickets were 150 bucks :( They are playing with Godsmack...

Too rich for my blood, even though I am the biggest Metallica fan around
