That would suck. Hopefully it's all just false rumors and they put out a new disc. They do have a history of rotating members and a lot of solo side projects so I wouldn't be suprised if these rumors are all a load of shit. At least I hope..

It better just be rumor. Their last album was awesome, the most popular song "No One Knows" was probably the worst song on that cd, and that song was great. Better just be rumors.

I disagree, "No One Knows" was the second-best song, next to "Go With the Flow". They made good single choices.

More hope that they're not done...

I actually like Kyuss better than QoTSA, but they do rock also. Kyuss just dose something for me that Queens dosent.

That has to be a load of shit. After all the years that those two were together in crazy bands, i doubt Nick would get thrown out for any reason.

If he did though, that's an incredible shame. Glad I've seen them twice.

Ditto the above. I hope they haven't and would be very surprised if they have. At least a lot of the side projects still have a fair bit of QOTSA feel to them. (Desert Sessions, Mondo Generator).

Personally I'm most distrubed by the idea that Mark Lanegan has quit. I think he's an awesome musician, and I really liked what he brought to the queens.

i hope they dont break up. i have heard that they are planning on releasing another album so hopefully they arent broken up. i like all the stuff that the three of them have done individually, but they kick fucken ass as queens of the stone age.

Hmm, that mtv link conflicts with the qotsa website which has most of screaming trees in the line up. this is why QOTSA's music swings between extremes of awesome and average. no consistency.

I'm upset Nick's bailed, but I'm more upset Lanegan's gone.

I only opened this thead to find out what the acronym QOTSA stands for. Turns out that it is Queens of the Stone Age, although I had to follow the MTV link to find out. Apparantly, I've turned into an old fart.

That's a real shame. We saw them in Paris and they must have shaken the whole city.

not really... qotsa has always been josh's thing.

and remember, sky valley didnt have nick on it either. if josh could get a hold of scott reeder for their live shows (apparenly he recorded all the bass parts too for the upcoming album) hell, maybe he even did drums (hes touring with the eagles of death metal right now, playin the skins)

It is true, but it's not. The brain behind the band, Josh Homme, is already working on a new album. Just to let you all know their first album did not have Nick playing bass and it is their best album in my opinion.

If you guys are big Queens fans you should check out The Desert Sessions. Josh gets a bunch of people together and they go record some sweet shit out at his desert studio.

Nick is a BADASS bassist but the dude is a TOTAL tweaker. When someone does as many drugs as that, it's IMPOSSIBLE to maintain a working relationship. Sucks, but was inevitable.
